this morning i got up and mom was in my bed, what the heck? she said i wasn't to go bother dad since he wasn't feeling so well. so i climbed over mom, grabbed my blankie and went to see if dad was awake yet. he wasn't so i woke him up. everyone got up and we had breakfast.
dad didn't go to work this morning, he said he was having the day in bed to be sick. mom and i got ready to go out. it rained all morning so i got to wear my puddle jumping boots and rain coat. mom and i went off to music class and i stomped in every puddle on the way there. oh it was so much fun. mom said there really wasn't much point in me wearing a rain coat since i was soaking wet anyway.
music class was good. teacher lisa handed out teddy bears and today we sang songs all about teddy bears. who knew there were so many different teddy bear songs. we also played the maracas and tambourines. it was fun. the teddy bears ended up having a picnic. i managed to grab a piece of plastic watermelon and a strawberry for my teddy. while everyone else sang songs i fed my teddy treats.
after class mom and i went to buy some bread and i got to stomp in all the puddles on the way home. when we got back mom stripped all my wet clothes off and i jumped in bed with dad to help him work.
i ate some lunch and played around. i stole a bunch of pens off mom's desk and did some coloring. i colored everything i could get my hands on- mom's note pad, old shopping lists, a big envelop. i made pictures of butterflies and airplanes. those are my favorite things to draw right now.
mom made me take a nap. i complained about that but she said both she and dad were taking naps too. so i got under my blankie and went to sleep. mom woke me up and it was back to playing with dad until mom made me get dressed again to go for our afternoon walk. she said dad needed some quiet while he did some work. mom and i went out and all the puddles were gone. i was so disappointed. i only found 3 decent sized ones to stomp.
