hey i'm back. i've been on a pretty steady adventure for like 6 weeks. i've done all kinds of cool stuff. mom will help me update you further soon. right now i'm just working on getting back in my routine. i start up with piano lesson on thursday. i've already gone to a kid's meet-up this week. we went to the reptile shop. i touched things. it was great. one of the kids got bit by a giant tortoise. i heard mom snicker. she's so naughty.
today mom and i have just been relaxing. we went out and did a little shopping today. nothing super exciting. tomorrow we're supposed to do another meet-up over at the farm.

it's gdad's birthday, so happy birthday to him. i'm sure dana bunny will cook him something tasty
i started school today. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! it wasn't real school though. it was just me and mom sitting around the table doing stuff. it was ok. i did some reading and writing mostly. mom and i started a science experiment. we put an egg in a jar of vinegar. bubbles formed. i predict the vinegar will dissolve the eggshell. it will take- 25days. mom helped me write down stuff in my science log. i read a book called monkey see, monkey do. later in the day i did coloring. that just seemed like busy work. the letter of the day was A and the number of the day was 0.
it's super rainy out. mom says it's supposed to rain until wed at least.
other than doing school stuff, mom and i just hung out doing stuff. i watched some pbs kids. mom did things on the computer. blah blah blah. rainy monday.

sunday, my favorite day. i spent the whole day doing stuff with dad. it's super stormy out so we played video games. i was happy. we played lego too. i love spending the day with my dad just having a lazy time.
we went out to sonny's for dinner. and that's about it.

today mom and dad loaded a bunch of stuff in the car. mom got me dressed and the two of us drove over to maggie's house. what the heck? mom was all- we're doing a yardsale! oh this is different. we usually drive around and buy other people's junk. today they're going to visit us and take our junk away. whatever. i'm in it for the lemonaid and run around time with other kids. mom and maggie's mom just hung out talking about boring grown up stuff. i got to spend 4hrs running around with lucian and maggie. we had lots of fun. except when i bounced the little ball right into my eye. that wasn't so much fun. that kind of hurt. then i had mom fussing all over me trying to look at the eye. just leave me alone.
i was super cheeky and snuck into the house to paint. i told  mom i was going to the bathroom, which i did but instead of going right back out i went to the kitchen and grabbed a paint brush. maggie has a whole little art station set up so i just helped myself. that's where mom found me 10min later- painting. i got told off. what? maggie's dad didn't care. he was right there. he knew what i was doing.
so the yardsale thing went on for 4hrs. not many people came so not much of our stuff got sold. i started being pretty naughty, running around, jumping all over things mom was trying to sell. not listening, you know. mom packed up all the stuff and threw it and me into the car. THIS YARDSALE IS DONE! which was fine since it was noon anyway. i said goodbye to everyone and mom drove us off into town.
mom was all- there's no way i'm taking this stuff back into the house, we're donating it. and so we did. mom found a charity shop and she unloaded all the things she didn't want any more. nice and easy. then we went home.
now i'm just hanging out waiting for dad to call. we're going to pick up a pizza for dinner, awesome!

the news is all about this big drought that is going on. what drought? it's just rain storm after rain storm around here. the morning starts out ok with a bit of sun, but it's wicked hot and gross out. then by lunch time it's thunderstorms and downpours.
this morning i talked with grdad on skype. he told me jammma was out of town for a few days. not what i wanted to hear. so i said goodbye and turned off skype. i got a lecture from mom about manners. i'm pretty sure i said goodbye this time.
mom said since i wasn't going to chat we might as well get the chores done. so she gathered up all the laundry and out the door we went. mom put the laundry in the washer and i got to turn the machines on. the clothes got clean and we went off to the bank. today was trade in dad's left over euro money and get some small bills for tomorrow's tagsale. kind of boring but i was good so mom let me raid the lollipop basket before we left. THEY GIVE OUT LOLLIPOPS AT THE BANK!
after the bank stuff was done mom drove us back to the laundry. we put things in the dryer. i got to turn on the machines. i'm a big help. with the stuff in the dryer, mom and i headed off to the grocery store. now, correct me if i'm wrong, wasn't it super sunny when we first left the house? now just a short time later it's very stormy looking. mom and i made a quick stop at subway for lunch. awesome! we got a couple samiches to go for our lunches later. then it was shopping time. mom got things off her list. i just sat in the cart being good. we only needed a few things. mom just wanted a few snack things for tomorrow. we paid for our stuff and left the store to find a massive storm going on. everyone was huddled under the overhangs.
mom looked at me and looked at the flooding rain, screw it. we lived in england. a little rain isn't going to stop us. in the 1 minute it took us to get to the car, we were soaked. it looked like we fell in the pool. that's really rainy. mom started the car and drove us to collect the laundry.
we finally made it home. mom and i ran upstairs and got into some dry clothes. what a day. now we're going to eat some subway and watch movies.

rain and piano lessons. yup. mom made cookies today. i got to try one. they are molasses ginger cookies. they're for dad to take to work tomorrow. oh man. i want to eat them all. i love cookies.
piano lessons were ok. everyone was late except me and mom so we went back and set everything up. it's super easy. i got my stand and mom helped me put the keyboard on it. i was just starting to play when gideon came in. then maggie and her mom came in and our lesson started.
lesson was good. we started learning a new song- heart and soul. it's pretty easy. next tuesday is our last lesson. maggie says she's going to do gymnastics next. not me. i am all about piano. i'm going to keep doing it.

meh. kind of a lazy day around here. mom and i spent the whole day lounging around watching pbs kids and movies. trust me, it's the best way to spend the day. it's so gross out and thunderstorms just pop up out of nowhere. one minute you've got a nice sunny day and the next thunder and lightning all around. we're going out for dinner later with dad. it's mexican for us. i'm going to get a plate of french fries and some sprite. oh yeah. i love eating out.

piano lessons today or should i say- goof off fest. maggie and i spent the whole lesson just being silly. there was lots of messing around not much paying attention. oh well. we had fun and that's the important stuff. i can play happy birthday from memory. so i am learning something. gideon things the rain makes us silly. it's rained pretty much every time we've had a lesson.
after piano mom and i went to the grocery store next door- windixie. she bought me a protein fruit smoothie for a treat since i haven't really had much to drink today. i was kind of thirsty so it was nice to have a cold drink on the drive home. we also got a couple other things- hot dog buns for dad's dinner.
not much else. i talked with jammma and grdad for a bit on skype this morning. whole lot of same old same old around here.

did chores with mom today. it was laundry day. you know how that goes. stuff goes in the machine. i push the money in and it starts up. while the clothes got washed mom and i went to return library books. we just used the bookdrop. the library was packed. they're doing some kind of voting thing so people are coming in to vote and taking up all the parking spaces.
so we did that. then mom and i stopped at the park. i had a quick run around. i got hot and sweaty in just a few minutes. it's so humid out. gross.
went and put things in the dryer. mom and i just went home to do stuff. i watched tv and mom puttered around in the closets. she keeps talking about getting rid of clutter at a yardsale. whatever. pbskids is on. that's way more interesting. when the laundry was done mom and i went back out and collected it.
big chores are done so it's just time to relax and try to stay cool.

mom has declared today an easy day. i'm pretty sure that means we're just going to sit around today in our underwear and watch movies until we fall asleep on the couch. fine by me.

today was non stop go go go. from the minute i got up mom was all- we're super busy today so let's go go go! there's a huge list of things to do, eat breakfast so we can get going. hold on lady. i just opened my eyes. i sat and ate my big bowl of life cereal. i love life, it's so tasty.
mom went around the house gathering up all the sheets, pillow cases and whatever else she could find to throw in the laundry. i got dressed. before i knew it mom was rushing me out the door. first we stopped at the laundry and threw everything in the machines to get cleaned. then mom drove us to the grocery store.
we rushed around the store buying things on mom's list. we only needed a few things but they were super important. we won't go far this week without milk, eggs and oj. mom got everything she needed so we paid and it was back to the laundry. mom put the stuff that needed to be dried in the dryers and i got to turn them on.
there were a few things mom set aside, we took those home to air dry. mom put the groceries away and hung up with wet stuff. i just practised on my keyboard. i found the ringing phone sound effect. i played a song that was nothing but ringing phones. it was awesome.
before i knew it mom was chasing me out of the house again. let's go go go! we're going to be late for our next meeting. what, to get the sheets out of the dryer? i think they'll be ok with that. mom drove us over to collect our dry things from the laundry room. she just shoved everything in a bag and back out to the car we ran. really? what's the rush? we got back in the car but mom didn't drive us home, we drove across town. we went to a different place i had never been too before. are we moving? why did the laundry have to come? what is going on? we drove through a little neighborhood and mom parked the car outside a cute little house.
there's a bunch of cars parked here. what is going on? mom told me to knock on the door so i did. a lady opened it and behind her all i could see was a mass of kids. oh my god. it's a surprise playdate!
i spent the morning playing at jackson's house. it was a homeschooling kids meetup. we had so much fun. jackson has some great toys. his mom let us run around the house, jump on the  furniture and make as much noise as we wanted- all while we dressed up in costumes. it was awesome.
we were at jackson's house for a couple hours and man it was super fun. just the kind of thing for a thunderstormy day. i was sad when mom told me it was time to go. boooo.
got back in the car and mom drove us home. i told her all about my plans to go back to jackson's house another day and all the different things i wanted to do. at home mom made me a quick late lunch. i had just enough time to relax and play a bit of my leapster game before mom came in and was all- get your socks back on it's time for piano lessons. man, how much can you pack into one day?
got to piano lessons and played around some waiting for maggie to show up, she's always a bit late. she got there though and the both of us just messed around the whole lesson. we were not very serious today. oh well. like gideon says- it's hard to concentrate when you're 5. we had fun and that's the important part.
after the lesson mom drove us back home. now you would think the day would finally be done and i could watch a bit of tv, but no. we were only home about an hour when mom was all- it's time to get in the car again. what the hell?
i got in the car and the next thing i know mom is slapping my cheek telling me to wake up. i fell asleep. i totally missed the part where we stopped to pick up dad. i'm awake, i'm awake. what's going on? mom was all- we've had such a super busy day- there's no way i'm cooking dinner too. so we ended up at the stir fry place for dinner. i got to order sprite for my drink since they don't have orange soda. mom said since i was so good today i could have a special treat too. she ordered me a chocolate brownie! this is a good day.

monday. my wagon is dragin' a bit. i got up at 5am! and this weather is straight up oppressive. i really want to go outside and play but man, open that door and the humidity just sucks all the life out of you. it's like walking around with a sack of bricks on your back.
mom and i struggled through the day. it's hard to keep cool. we started off by dropping the laundry off to get cleaned. while everything was in the washer mom drove us over to the dollar store. we walked around a bit. mom found some things to buy. nothing super exciting. dollar store things.
when mom was done we paid and left the store. got back to the laundry room and mom put the things in the dryer. i helped. she gave me my own pile of things to put in the dry. i like throwing things in the machines. i pushed the money in and started up the dryers. mom and i went to the library. oh man.
the library was jam packed. that's a little too much excitement for a monday. what the hell is going on? mom read a couple signs and turns out it's early voting time for the local elections. great. after a bit of looking we managed to find a parking space though. went in the library and hung out for a bit. it's nice and cool. mom picked out some books. i just kind of roamed around behind her. we really just wanted to kill some time while the clothes got dry. mom and i did the book check out thing and it was back home for us.
we stopped to collect our dry clothes and then into the nice cool house. i can hear the thunder. it's so going to rain this afternoon. mom and i had lunch. she put on jurassic park for me. i watched a little bit but ended up falling asleep. ooops. i crashed out pretty hard. waking up at 5am makes for a very long day. i got up and stumbled off to the bathroom. there was an accident while i slept. someone peed in my pants. i was soaking wet and so was the couch. mom helped me get undressed. she ran a quick bubble bath for me and i got myself clean again. mom took the couch apart and cleaned the cushions the best she could. looks like tomorrow we're doing laundry again.
i got dressed and mom said we had to go out. that's kind of odd, what's going on? mom and i got in the car and drove over to the Y. do i get to play? can i run around in the field. no. it's going to thunderstorm any minute. we're just here to meet someone. what? some guy pulled up and parked near us. we're meeting strange dudes? what the hell? he nodded at mom and she nodded back. he popped the trunk of his car and there was an exchange of money. mom popped the trunk on our car and he put this huge weird looking mysterious thing in there. WHAT IS THAT? it's a yudu machine. what does it do? what does it do? mom was all- you'll see, but not today. i don't have time to set it up. can we go home now? no, we're waiting for another person.
this lady pulled up next to us. are you here for the keyboard? mom said yes. keyboard? KEYBOARD? the lady opened her car and sure enough, there was a keyboard just like i play in music class. mom gave me some money and told me since the keyboard is for me, i should be the one to buy it. the lady loaded the keyboard and stand into our car and i handed her the money. I HAVE A REAL KEYBOARD!
mom drove me home and lugged the keyboard upstairs. she got it all set up for me and i tried it out. oh yeah. it's super awesome. i'm so excited. i can't wait until my dad gets home so i can show him.

today turned out to be a pretty good day. it didn't start off as much. mom and i hung out this morning. i watched my morning shows and ate breakfast. mom turned on skype so i could talk to jammma. i called but grdad answered. he said jammma wasn't home so i talked to him a bit.
when i was done on skype mom put on a movie for me. we watched armageddon. it's about an asteroid headed for earth and these guys have to go up into space to stop it. not a bag movie. i was pretty in to it. i like rocketships and people going into space. when the movie was done mom gave me some lunch. i ate a couple granola bars. i love granola bars for lunch. it's fun. after i was done mom put on skype for me again and this time i got to talk with jammma. we had a nice chat about things. mom kept coming in the room though. she was putting stuff in a bag and getting ready. i wanted to talk longer but mom made the wrap it up sign to me. i just clicked off skype. mom said that was kind of rude. she made me get back on and tell jammma and grdad it was time for me to go and i would talk to them later. blah blah blah. mom says my manners are a bit lacking. oh well. took a couple tries but i eventually got the message across.
mom made me finish getting dressed and we got in the car. we went to the library to drop off books. it was time to turn in the mushroom book i've had for 2months and the bread machine book mom has been using. i'm pretty annoyed at mom for taking back the mushroom book but she says it's time to share with someone else. fine.
after the library mom drove us almost home. we ended up in the neighborhood across the street. we drove up to a house and mom was all- can you guess who lives here? no, i've never been here before. what the hell is going on? i knocked on the door and the other mom from piano lessons opened it up. maggie's house? you brought me to maggie's house? what the heck? a huge old slobbery dog came running across the room to smell me and give me kisses. that did not go over well. dogs and cats still freak me out. i saw a goldfish in a bowl. that's more my speed. i like fish. maggie took me outside and showed me her backyard. it was awesome. they had a covered pool and a pool table- in the back of their house! there was also a swing set and lookout post like at the park. and there were CHICKENS! the chickens were just running around digging in the dirt. maggie also has a little pet bunny but i didn't want to have anything to do with that.
i had some good fun playing around with maggie and her older brother lucian. we threw frisbees. and played on the swingset. i checked out the chickens but didn't get too close. i don't want one to attack me.
i was most into playing pool. i was chasing balls across the table with the stick and making them go in the holes. i totally know what to do, my technique just needs some work.
eventually i got hot enough to go in the pool. strange pools are suspect in my book. no of the other kids were getting sucked into the filter and it was like 95degrees out. so i took off my shoes and socks and had a bit of a swim. it was fun. when mom said it was time to go i made some pouty faces. i don't want to go. mom pointed out it was looking kind of stormy though.
i got out and mom helped me change my clothes. i said my good byes and out the door we went. mom and i went to the grocery store real quick to pick up some OJ. you can't have breakfast time without oj and we're totally out.
the rest of the afternoon i've just been watching jurassic park waiting for my dad to get home. we're going to watch some pbs when he gets home. i can't wait

nothing really exciting happened today. mom and i went to piano lessons. we were on time, as usual. mom always makes sure we get to lessons nice and early. we sat around for a bit. the guy who runs the drum shop called my teacher because he was late. mr gideon forgot we had changed the class time. that's ok, maggie was late too. mom and i worked on setting up the keyboards. when we were done everyone else showed up too.
so the lesson was alright. we started off playing happy birthday. i played it once and made some little mistakes. gideon reminded me what finger went where. i played it a few more times without any help. i so rule at piano. we played some games to help us remember the different notes. we wrote a little song to help us practice the notes. i did really well, of course.
after lessons mom and i went to the store real quick. mom got a few things on her list. pizza is on sale, the good kind. so mom got pizza and blueberries and a few random things. i put the stuff on the belt and mom paid. off we went in the car to the drugstore. we got some batteries and coffee. i guess coffee counts as a drug.  anyway, dad's out of coffee and the drugstore had the best sale on it this week.
we're home now. it looks like it might finally rain. sooooo gross and hot out. really, it's not nice at all.

i woke up this morning and it was august already. summer is slowly going by. it's stupid hot out. mom and i spent most of the morning just doing our own thing. i watched my morning shows and played games on the leapster. mom cooked stuff and tidied. it poured down rain for a bit. i didn't hear any thunder though.
after lunch mom told me to get dresses. why. don't ask why, just get dressed. fine. so i took my time putting clothes on. finally i was ready and mom hussled me out the door. what's the rush? where are we going? mom was all- to do chores. first stop was paying the rent. i handed the check to a new lady i've never seen before. she seemed nice enough. next i dropped a letter in the post.
mom and i then got in the car and she drove us to the bowling alley! awesome. we're not just doing boring chores, we're going bowling. we walked inside and it was nice and cool. there were a bunch of old people bowling in there today. mom and i got our gear and settled at the lane. i really like bowling but today i was just not feeling it. the first game i only rolled like a 48. that's super low for me. my wagon is draggin' as they say. i've got no go go go today. mom and i played our two games and that was that.
got outside and it was looking pretty cloudy out. mom drove us to walmart. she was all- we're going to be super quick. no nonsense, in and out. ok. yes, that's fine but what's the rush. mom pointed up to the sky and it was black. that's not good.
so we ran around walmart super quick. mom put the things on her list into the cart. i ran along beside her. we were done shopping in like 20min. i think that's record time. then it took us forever to check out. oh well.
we paid and got outside just as the rain started to come down. i heard some wicked thunder. mom hurried us to the car. we didn't get too rained on because we were right on the edge of the storm. mom drove us home and it was definitely raining then. i couldn't see anything out my window.
we got home just as the storm ended. mom said- perfect timing. go us getting everything done and staying dry.
i'm feeling pretty tired so i think i'll just go to bed now.

another tuesday that means piano lessons. nothing super exciting. we did some work on yankee doodle and happy birthday. then we got sheets for twinkle twinkle. i read the title. twinkle twinkle little star. yeah i can totally read that. there's a bunch of cross overs and cross unders to do during the song. i can do that. i know all about how to play the piano now. i'm trying to talk mom into letting me take rock guitar lessons next when i'm 6. when i'm older i will play guitar in a rock band. mom says i should just focus on piano for now and learn how to really read music. first things first and all that.

it's monday. meh. i'm back to full privileges. this morning i got to watch my favorite pbskids shows while i ate breakfast. oh tv, how i missed you. i'm going to try not to jump on the furniture and do better listening to my mom. that kind of stuff is what got me in trouble last week.
it's great having the tv back. i'm so going to watch jurassic park 3 later. i love that movie.

today was pretty good. this morning we did family swim time first thing. mom gathered up all the laundry. dad and i put our swim trunks on and out the door we went. i splashed around in the pool and mom put all the clothes in the washers to get cleaned. when she was done doing that she got in the pool with me. dad just sat in a chair and watched us.
the pool was great. we had the whole thing to ourselves. mom and i splashed around. when the laundry was done washing dad went in and put it all in the dryer. he came out and got in the pool. then it was the three of us having fun. mom got out and sat in the sun for a bit so she could dry off. when the clothes were done she went in to collect them and it was time to go home. fair enough. after 2hrs in the pool i was pretty hungry.
got home and mom made us smoothies. my favorite.
dad and i are going to have a sunday hang out time now. we're going to play the new tv games mom bought yesterday. whooo-hoo.

what did i do today? i had some nice hang out time with my dad this morning. we played some tv games before he got ready for work. mom told me i had to get ready too, so i did. very slowly. i don't want to go out and i don't want dad to go out either. i want us to stay inside all day playing. but no. dad had to go to work and mom and i drove him there. booo.
we dropped dad off and then mom drove to the grocery store. there is no one around at the grocery store early on a saturday. it was kind of cool. mom picked up a few things we needed and then we took it all home. on the way back to our house we passed a huge parking lots sale going on.
got home and mom was all- hurry hurry hurry. she put all the groceries away and i had a quick bathroom break. we jumped back in the car and mom drove us around the block to the parking lot sale. we found a space to park and got out of the car. i walked around with mom while she looked at things. one table had a bunch of tv games. mom found a starwars one and then a spongebob. awesome! she put them in her bag. she also put in a bunch of learning to read books. less awesome. the only way i get to watch spongebob cartoons is if i read a book. so now there's even more books to read.
mom paid for her bag of stuff and back home we went. just in time too. i was getting hot and sweaty just standing around. our house is nice and cool. i'm still on a tv ban until tomorrow. guess i'll putter around the house trying to be good.

it's friday. i talked with jammma and grdad for a bit this morning on skype. i told them all about the airplanes i am going to get when i am older. i'm going to go the airplane store and buy a jet and a plane like the one in jurassic park. i am going to fly my planes to visit with dana bunny and g-dad. then i will fly to england in my plane to visit derby. i've got it all planned out.
after skypetime mom and i went bowling today. it was great fun. we went to a different place than usual. for a special treat mom went to the snack stand and got us a huge soda to share. i also got fried dough snacks and mom had some fried cheese and pizza dip. she tried to get me to try the fried cheese but i said- no way. the dough was great though. it came with a cream cheese sauce to dip it in. yummy and full of sugar.
so bowling was pretty fun. mom and i had a whole 2hrs worth. we managed to play 4 games in that time. i came close to winning but mom beat me every time. that's ok. it's just for fun. i love bowling.
after bowling mom and i just went home. we're trying our best to stay cool. i might take a nap. all this hot and humid makes me tired.

it's thurday. today was our first piano class at the new time. maggie is back from her vacation. we're going to meet up at 2pm now. kind of a weird time but that's ok. got to piano class and helped mr gideon set up. i like lifting up the stand and carrying it across the room. i need a little help moving the keyboard over though. those are kind of awkward to carry by yourself.
piano was good. maggie is fun. she and i spent the whole class laughing and being silly. we played a little piano too. i'm a little better than maggie. she doesn't know her notes as well as i do. haha.
after class mom and i went to the grocery store that is across the street. it's different from publix. it's called winn-dixie. it's ok i guess. we needed orange juice so mom bought some.
not much else going on. just hot and miserable out.

today was getting things done day. mom and i missed our usual laundry day because of the firehouse visit. so this morning it was all go go go. we put the laundry in the washer to get cleaned. mom and i went off to the park. we had a quick walk around the path and then i had some play time on the slides. i got all hot and sweaty after just a few minutes. there were other kids there. one of the boys had a super cool airplane. he wouldn't let me play with it though. that made me sad. there were some tears. i was very upset. mom called me over and i told her my troubles. she gave me a cuddle and said not to worry, it was time to go anyway.
mom and i went and put the clothes in the dryer. i turned on the dryers and then we went off to the grocery store. mom pushed the cart around and picked up things on her list. nothing super exciting. once we had everything mom needed, we paid and it was back to collect the laundry time.
we're home now and going to stay inside. you would not believe how hot it is out. i'm going to sit on the couch and play my games. i've got a tv ban for bad behavior. mom says i can't watch any of the shows i like until sunday. long boring week for me.

today i did piano lessons. it was fun. i am pretty good. my teacher said that the girl maggie is coming back from vacation. she'll be there next class. that's fine. i can show off then.

this morning mom dragged me out of the house while my shows were still on. what the heck? why are we leaving the house so early? mom drove us off towards the grocery store, except we didn't go to the grocery store. we turned the other way and ended up at the fire station. what the hell? there was a fire truck and some firemen and a bunch of kids all running around. ahhhh it's little kid meetup at the firehouse, cool.
so the tour lady introduced us to the different firemen and lady. she gave us a tour around the house. we saw where the firepeople make food and where they sleep. one of the firemen put on all his gear for us. the best part of the tour though was going outside and getting to use the fire hose! i got to spray stuff with a real fire hose. very cool. the tour only lasted an hour and then it was back home again. it's so hot out. i feel like i'm going to melt.

it's sunday and that means i get to spend the day doing stuff with my dad. this morning after breakfast the two of us went swimming. we left mom on her own to do her own thing. dad and i had a great time at the pool. it was just us and then jack showed up for his daily splash.
got home and mom was out. dad and i got our own snacks. mom showed up eventually. she had a bag full of things she found at an estate sale. she pulled out a load of small glass test tubes. awesome! she got me science stuff. she got a couple other things. the test tube are the most exciting part.
dad and i just lazed around the living room most of the day. gotta stay cool any way you can. today we did by playing video games and watching tv shows. it's been great fun.

it's saturday! mom and i took dad to work this morning after breakfast time. it's sooooo freaken hot out. like you get sweaty just walking from the car to the house kind of hot. mom and i drove around to a couple estate sales. the car is airconditioned and the houses are airconditioned. you just get a little hot walking from the house to the car. the first one we went to mom found some cookie cutters to buy. she was all excited because the box had a scottie dog cutter. she says her collection of vintage cookie cutters is now complete. she's got everything she needs to make christmas cookies just like her gram's. christmas cookies are a big thing i guess. i had a few last christmas. they were pretty good. not sure what all the fuss is about though.
while mom was paying for her stuff i helped myself to a lollipop from the table. i got a stern look from mom because i didn't ask first. oops. i just can't resist lollipops. we got in the car and mom drove us down the road. she pulled into this parking lot. what's this? mom said- as long as we're here, we might as well check out the squirrel ridge park. whooo-hoo. i ran across the field to the kid play area. i didn't see any squirrels but there were loads of butterflies around. i had a few minutes of running around play time. it's too darn hot for any more than that. mom says there's something called heat stroke which little kids and old people have to watch out for. when it's 100+ out and 85% humidity, you can get really sick, really fast.
mom and i drove off to the next sale. it was a big old house full of stuff. mom found a bunch of old books for kids to learn about different countries and world histories. sounds kind of boring but the pictures are fun. she got a couple of other uninteresting things. i found something with buttons i really wanted. i was very displeased when mom said no. i had a bit of a fuss and that was the end of that. mom paid for her things and frog marched me back to the car. shopping done for the day i guess.
got home and had some lunch. i was relaxing a bit and mom said- get your socks on it's time to go. where are we going? is it bowling? i'd really like to go bowling. and it was! mom took me bowling. we got there around 1pm and had the whole place to ourselves. no one else was there but the two guys who run the place. it was pretty cool. i tried out a few new ball techniques. they didn't work out so well. i didn't bowl my best games but i had fun and mom says that's the important part. i also drank most of mom's gatoraid and that always makes me happy.
after bowling mom drove us over to walmart since it's right there. we got orange juice and blueberries. not exciting but tasty.
and that's pretty much my day. going to pick up dad and a chicago style pizza for dinner. awesome.

today was kind of weird. mom was on the computer most of the morning reading news stories. there was a big shooting at a movie theater. mom has a bunch of relatives that live out that way. one of her cousins actually lives across the street from the movie theater and had a friend killed. bummer. so mom read the news as it came in and checked on her relatives. once everyone was accounted for it was my turn to use the computer. i had a nice long chat with jammma and grdad in england.
it's stupid hot out. mom and i are just going to hide out inside. i'm doing my best to be good. mom has come to realize that telling me off does no good at all. so now my punishment is- no tv time. i do not like this. i love watching pbs. so i'm trying my best not to jump on the furniture and throw my socks around the room. it's really hard because those things are super fun.
mom got out her new duster and cleaned away all the cobwebs and ceiling fans. cool. she's going to do housewife things and i'm going to try and keep cool.

i've lost my tv privileges for the day. mom has turned off the tv and i'm not allowed to watch any of my favorite shows or movies. i'm supposed to use my imagination and play with the toys instead. what the hell? i've been kind of naughty lately and mom says she's not going to put up with any more nonsense. poo. i'm so bored.

i went bowling today. whooo-hooo. i love bowling. just me and mom went. we tried out a different place than before. the place we went to today is right behind sonny's. who knew there was a bowling alley there? i didn't. mom told me that if i was good we would go out for a special treat. so i was good enough this morning. she drove us to sonny's and i was all- sonny's? this isn't a special treat, what the heck? then we went around the back and i read the sign- bowling alley. awesome.
mom and i went in and it's a super old fashion bowling alley from like the 1970's. mom got us some shoes and the guy told us to bowl on lane 8. ok. we were right next to two sisters. they were kind of bowling. mostly they were fighting about who's ball was who's. they were using that silly baby ramp that you just push the ball down and it goes down the lane. it's for babies. i bowl like a big boy.
i did really great in the first game and bowled my highest score yet- 100. i beat mom! haha. i rule at bowling. in the second game mom beat me but just by a little. she got lucky with a couple spares.
that was the exciting part of my day. mom and i just stay inside most of the time. it's really hot and humid and the mosquitoes are terrible. they don't bother me. the mosquitoes attack mom and her bug bites swell up to the size of 50p pieces. not only that but the ones around here carry call kinds of nasty diseases. no one wants west nile. yuck. another week or so and hopefully they'll die down.
in other news my dad's green card came today. and it's really green.

not much going on. the weather is gross. mom is busy working on her books. i spent the morning running around the house and watching pbs kids. mom and i went out to piano lessons at the usual time.
at piano lessons there was a boy about my age. he came out of the back carrying a guitar. i got right in his face and checked out the guitar. it was just a small one- for kids. i looked the guitar over, looked the boy over and said- i play awesome music. then i let him past and he left. i've got confidence, bags full.
piano lessons were good. it was just me again. awesome. i played happy birthday and started to learn yankee doodle. i know my notes. you name a note and i can find it on the keyboard, no problem. piano is easy.
mom is letting me watch different kinds of movies. today i really wanted to watch superman but mom didn't feel like searching for it. she put on spiderman instead. this guy- he's part spider. it's pretty cool. i like spiderman. he's a super hero

monday. doing chores with mom day. went went to the office/clubhouse and there were a million super tiny frogs hopping around. they were everywhere. i stepped on a couple. i didn't know what they were at first. they were smaller than the acorns. this morning it was getting the clothes in the washer and then since it's kinds of cool and windy mom took me to the park. we walked around the path and then i got to play on the slides. i had fun. it was nice to be out getting my fresh air.
after the park we put the laundry in the dryer and mom took us to walmart. mom had a list and we walked around getting things like mangos and guacamole. not very exciting but very tasty. we got what we needed and then it was back in the car and home again. mom got the laundry from the dyer and that was that.
i hung out doing stuff while mom sorted out the clothes. all the big chores are done now. time to put on a movie and relax. we're having pizza for lunch!

i'm doing stuff with my dad. i love sundays. dad and i have the most fun. this morning we went to the park for a few hours while it was still cool. i road my bike around the track and then dad and i ran around the baseball fields. i burned off a lot of energy. it was great fun.
after the park dad took me to sonics for an extra special treat. he ordered me a huge chocolate milkshake! awesome. we drove home and i got to enjoy my milkshake. it was a little too big though. i couldn't manage the whole thing so mom helped finish it up. MILKSHAKE.
dad and i also got into some science projects. mom bought a little herb growing kit last week. today dad and i read the directions and planted the seeds. fingers crossed in a few weeks we'll have some fresh coriander. the seeds are going to sit in my window because that's one of the few places that actually gets some sunlight. i'm in charge.

not much going on. kind of a lazy saturday. i had some blueberry waffles for breakfast time. yummy. everyone had their breakfasts and then it was time to take dad to work.
dropped dad off and then mom drove us over to the flea markets. did you know there are two little flea markets in gamesville? i did not know this though mom says i've been to both before. we're trying to find a banana keeper for dad. so far no luck. we checked both and there were no banana keepers to be found. oh well. we tried. mom says she's just going to order one online.
mom and i went home and that was that. had a nice afternoon of watching movies and reading my mushroom book. i'm an expert on mushrooms now.
went and picked up dad when he called. we decided to go out to dinner. so it was off to sonny's, but not the one we usually go to. today we tried out a newer one up on 39th. it's huge and instead of picnic tables they have booths. it was great but a little cold. they had the airconditioner cranked up. who knew you could be too cold in FL in the middle of summer? i tried something different. instead of getting orange crush to drink i ordered a raspberry lemonaid. it was awesome.
dinner was nice. mom drove us home when we were done. now it's time for me to hang out with my dad.

it's friday the 13th. whatever. mom says that some people are afraid of friday the 13ths. not me. just around day around here. mom and i pretty much just spent the whole day hanging out. she's working on making books. i jumped around the house and watched shows. mom put on some old science programs for me. i'm really into space, volcanoes and tornadoes right now.

today i had piano lessons. i kicked ass. i am super good at piano. i learned all of happy birthday today. next class we're going to start on a new song.
there was a big storm while i had my lesson. it had just started to rain when mom parked the car. by the time lessons were over the storm was ending too. i missed all the lightning and pouring rain. oh well. i heard some pretty good thunder bangs though. maybe i'll catch the next storm.
other than that i just hung out with mom. it's gross out with all the warm and mosquitoes. the town has been spraying for bugs so hopefully all the mosquitoes will be dead soon and i can go back to having some fun.

yesterday was pretty exciting. today it's going to rain and be generally boring. that's fine. you need a relaxing day every once in awhile. blueberry and i are going to hang out on the couch and boss mom around. we're good at that.

this morning was all rush rush around the house. i got up and ate my breakfast. i was thinking- hey, nice easy day. going to watch some shows, maybe a movie or two. tuesday is a piano lesson day. oh no. mom and dad had other plans. i had to get dressed and we all left the house at like 8am. what the heck? mom wouldn't tell me where we were going.
mom drove me and dad out of town. we drove for a bit and stopped at a drugstore for a bathroom break. dad drank too much coffee this morning. mom picked up a soda and some candy. i want a spice drop! we got back in the car and i begged dad for some spice drops. i love those things. mom said they're only for good boys. so i had to sit quietly.
mom drove us a little father and we were at our destination: jacksonville immigration center. we got there an hour early so mom drove us around the corner to a cafe. hey, i've been here before. we came a few months ago so dad could have a meeting. mom talked the cafe guy into making me a basket of french fries. awesome! i sat and ate french fries while the grown ups relaxed. turns out dad's got another meeting today and this time mom has to go too which means i get to tag along. cool.
i finished my fries and we went back to the immigration center. there were a bunch of people milling about the door. this scary man was checking paper and id cards. he asked: do you have any guns, batteries, perfume, gum, candy, electronics? if you said yes, all those kinds of things had to be put back in the car. if you said no, he let you in the door. we managed to get all the banned stuff out of our bags and into the car. the guy let us through the door and then we had to deal with the metal detector man. he xrayed the bags and then patted them down. it took ages to get past him. i heard dad's name called. we all turned and waved at the man- yes, we're here.
when metal detector man was done touching our bags we had a quick bathroom break. the man who called dad's name earlier came back out and showed us into his office. we all got chairs to sit on. the man gave me a piece of candy and he started talking with mom and dad. it was kind of boring. i just sat and sucked on my candy. the guy asked a few questions- mostly is this your address? he stamped a few papers and signed a couple things. then he said- ok, we're done. and that is how my dad got approved for his green card. i have no idea what that means. mom said the card lets dad stay in america and he can come and go as he pleases for as long as he wants. ok then.
it took us an hour to get to jacksonville for a meeting that was less than 30min. now what? mom and dad talked for a minute and it was decided we should just go home and relax. so back in the car and mom drove us home. getting home took longer than an hour though. there was an accident on one of the main highways. it was totally shut down and all the traffic had to get off and be diverted. bummer. there was a lot of just sitting. it took us like 2hrs to get home. well longer than that because we stopped off at a big walmart in starke to see what they have. mom got me a couple things to eat since it was after 2pm and i didn't have lunch. i had some carrots and ranch and then a purple smoothie. cool.
finally got home. we all relaxed around the house a bit before mom was all- get your socks it's time to go out. but it's raining and there's a thunderstorm. who care's? it's time for a good boy treat. i got a surprise adventure for being good on our trip today! so we all got in the car and mom drove us across town. i kind of fell asleep. i woke up a few minutes later at a bowling alley. I LOVE BOWLING!
bowling was awesome. i had a great time knocking down the pins. we played 3 games. dad beat me and mom every time. mom and i are both pretty evenly matched. she only beat me by a few points each time. with a little more practice i will be beating her soon.
after we turned in our shoes it was time to go out for dinner. mom drove us to the mexican place she and dad like. we got a table and ordered a bunch of tasty food. i tried something called a cheese quasadilla. it did not go down well. as soon as it touched my tongue i puked. nope, i'm not eating that shit. i didn't chew it, i didn't even close my mouth. mom was not impressed. oh well. i still had a pretty fun day.

today was a busy monday. mom likes to get all the annoying chores done monday morning so we can spend the rest of the week doing fun stuff like not doing chores. this morning we dropped the clothes and stuff off to get cleaned. blueberry and the couch cushions need a really good wash. i think blueberry is still mad at me. i'm sure he'll fell better after his splash. mom filled the machines and i pushed the money in to start them. once everything was under way, we went off to the park.
the park was good. it was cool enough to have some fun running around and the mosquitoes were still asleep. mom and i did the walking path and then i had a few minutes to run around and do the slides and other playground stuff. i got a little hot and sweaty. florida in  the summer time, what are you going to do?
mom and i went back to put the clothes in the dryer and hang up the things that don't go in the dryer. we took blueberry and the couch cushions home to air dry on our deck. mom says blueberry is getting too old for the dryer.
mom got her shopping list and we went off to walmart. i sat in the cart while mom pushed me around the store. we didn't get much. fruit was the only big thing on the list. we've got lots of fruit. mom is on one of her save money and not buy stuff kicks. that's fine, we don't really need any more stuff. paid for the things mom did buy and it was back to get the laundry.
got home and mom put all the things we bought away and then sorted out the clean clothes. phew. house work looks like it's pretty much done for the day. that means we can sit and relax. we can't really go out because the garbage disposal guy should be here soon to fix our machine. i'm going to eat some lunch and watch my shows.
garbage disposal man came. he was only here for a few minutes. he said he's fished coins out of machine before, it's pretty easy. so he stuck his hand down there and a few seconds later he told mom it was all sorted. the machine is just fine and doesn't need to be replaced. phew. dad got lucky there.
now the rest of my moday i'm just going to hang out and wait for my dad to get home.

today has been all kinds of stupid but i got to spend time with my dad so i guess that's ok.
this morning it was decided we should take dad to get an eye test to see if he needs glasses. i guess he needs to get his licence renewed soon. last time he took the eye test 6 times. that's not good. so we all hung out doing sunday morning things. dad and i played some video games. mom worked on her book stuff. breakfast was eaten. dad rushed us all out the door a little after 9 because he wanted to get this eye test thing over and done with.
mom drove us out to the mall. there were not a lot of people there. we parked the car and mom went up to the door. the sign said the mall doesn't open until noon on sunday. mom was horrified. noon on a sunday! i thought this was america, land of the consumerist. oh well. we all got back in the car.
mom then drove us over to the natural history museum. i really want to visit with the butterflies again, with my dad. the car got parked and we walked over to the museum and it was closed. the museum doesn't open until 1pm on sundays. oh man. we're just not off to a good start.
mom was getting a little grumpy as dad rushed her out of the house before she could get any breakfast time. we all got back in the car and she then drove us to steak and shake. thankfully they were open, they're always open. we got a table and i got to order a chocolate milkshake. mom got a stack of pancakes and dad got something called a breakfast taco. whooo-hoo for snacks.
after we were all done eating we went over to target. dad pushed me around the store and we looked at stuff. mom just shuffled along behind us. there wasn't anything we really need to buy but mom found something. she got another stack of paper for her ongoing book making project. boring.
back in the car and it was finally noon so mom drove us back to the mall. this time it was open. mom and i dropped dad off at the eye dr/ eyeglasses place. there's lots of waiting involved with this kind of thing. mom and i walked around looking in different stores. every once in awhile we went back and checked on dad to see how he was doing. the dr gave him some eye drops to make the black parts go all big. dad looked funny.
the end result was several hours, hundreds of dollars and a new pair of glasses for dad. hey dad, nice glasses. i got a smoothie too.
dad's eyes were all screwed up so mom decided we should all just go home. we're going to visit with the butterflies another day. i'm going to hang out with my dad watching funny videos.

there was an accident. i fell asleep on the couch and wouldn't wake up. mom tried. she shouted my name, made loud noises. she pulled blueberry away and even stood me up and made me walk. i just snatched blueberry back and curled back up on the couch. i'm sleepy and you can't make me get up. unfortunately i had a lot of juice to drink. there was peeing. i peed all over myself, blueberry and the couch- both cushions. it was a real mess. i finally woke up an hour later to find myself cold and soaking wet. mom took me to the bathroom and i had a quick bath.
blueberry is really mad at me. he got peed on and now he has to stay in the laundry basket with dad's smelly gym socks. he's not talking to me. mom got the couch cushions off and they're in the laundry too. now i've got nowhere to sit. what a bummer of a day.
in other news dad took me out first thing this morning. i got a hair cut and a lollipop. i'm handsome.

not much going on. mom and i are just trying to keep cool during the day. it's so stupid hot out and there are mosquitoes everywhere. you step outside and a huge black cloud of bugs surrounds you. yuck.

i did piano lessons today. i really enjoy my lessons. because of the holiday no one else was there so it was a private lesson. i got a lot of work done and got some free play time. i am all about the Vtoven. i am obsessed with playing furry elease.

it's the 4th of july. whooo-hoo. americans have a big party every year on this day. dad took the day off work, mostly because he spent 24hr travelling yesterday and was a bit tired. he and i hung out doing stuff. you know, guy stuff. mom made things in the kitchen for our little celebration. we ate an early dinner. the grown ups had things like hotdogs and potato salad. bleh. i didn't get anything, what's up with that?
after dinner mom sprayed us down with anti bug spray and out the door we went. where are we going? what's going on? mom drove us to the next town and there were people and cars everywhere. we parked on a bit of grass near the train tracks. then we got out of the car and walked with everyone else. thousands of people all going to the park. there was all kinds of exciting stuff. loads of booths were set up and people were selling food and drinks. awesome. mom went and stood in line and got me a slice of pizza and cold sodas. whoo-hoo. i get to eat fun food for dinner. mom and dad picked a nice spot in the grass and we set down our blanket. i sat and ate the pizza.
basically we just sat in the grass for a few hours watching all the people. i ate the pizza and then mom stood in line for ages to get me a fruit smoothie and a frozen lemonade for her and dad. mmmmm tasty drinks. we listened to the different bands playing music. it was nice just relaxing outside with my folks for a bit. the bug spray kept the mosquitoes away. eventually the sun went down and there was no more room on the grass for people to sit. some announcer guy said there were 20,000 people in the park. that's a lot of people.
at 9.30 the excitement started. FIREWORKS! that's what we've been waiting for. the fireworks lit up the sky and it was great fun. they exploded for a good 30min and then it was all over. very fun stuff. i got to stay up wicked late and watch fireworks. 4th of july is ok by me.

mom and i were going to see some fireworks tonight but we've now got other plans. dad is coming home! whooo-hoo. i've missed my dad loads. he just sent a text message to mom letting her know the plane has landed. we're going to go pick him up and then eat dinner at sonny's.

it's monday. that means doing chores with mom. fun fun. we had our breakfast time. i watched some of my pbs shows while mom gathered up all the laundry things. we took the laundry in to get washed. i turned on the machines while mom filled them up with clothes. then we went to the park. mom and i had a quick walk around on the path and then i went to play on the slides. it was just enough fresh air for me. it's still early in the morning and stupid hot out already.
went and put the clothes in the dryer. mom and i just went home to hang out a bit. it's too hot for fun. can you believe that? i miss my dad.

it's sunday and my dad is not around. heavy sigh.

mom and i just kind of drove around today. we went to a couple yard sales but didn't find much to buy. meh.

today was kind of fun. this morning mom and i drove to the zoo. we went to the gamesville zoo. there's just a small one not far from where we live. it's part of the community college's zookeeper program. it only took us a few minutes to get there. when we got out of the car i heard this strange squawking cry. what the heck was that? mom and i stopped at the bathroom before we went in the zoo. when we walked out again there was a huge bird- right in front of me. a peacock! he squawked at me then wandered off. so that's what made the strange noise.
mom and i went into the zoo and walked around. we visited each of the different cages. mom brought my science field journal and she took notes of all the different things we saw. there were birds. big birds, small birds. you name it chances are we saw it, except toucan. there's no toucans. in the brush next to the walking trail we saw two lady peacocks and they each had a small chick with them. they were scratching around in the leaves looking for things to eat. it was pretty fun to see. we saw some lemurs, sleeping. the gibbon monkeys were whoooping up a storm. they were fun to watch. i think we saw a million turtles too. it was a really nice way to spend an hour.
after the zoo mom and i just went home again. we're going to try and keep cool.

first day without my dad. i miss him. just me and mom. blah.
went to piano lessons today. i did my thing. i'm learning how to play happy birthday. it's going alright. there was a big storm going on during my lesson. lots of thunder and lightning. good thing we were inside. having a big thunderstorm every day between 3-6pm, really weirds out your day. you know it's going to rain, but when? right now it's usually during my piano lesson. i kind of wish it wasn't though. i like the storms and i end up missing most of the exciting stuff when i'm playing piano.

today was busy. i got up this morning and had just enough time to eat a big bowl of cinnamon crunchie pillows before mom was hustling me out the door. this morning we took my dad to the airport. he has to go to austria for a week. booo. i will miss him. he's going to give some talks about stuff he does. i looked over his speech last night- long boring story about fish guts. kind of glad i'm staying home with mom.
it only took a few minutes to drive dad to the airport and drop him off. we said good bye and off we went to do other things. mom drove us into town, except we missed the turn we wanted and ended up in the plaza with jiffy lube. mom looked at her reminder sticker and said- oh what the hell. it's wed (that means lady's day $8 off your oil change.) we're right here and the oil does need to be changed, let's go to jiffy lube. alright! donuts.
we drove in to jiffy lube and talked to the guy. turns out that once again we need more than just an oil change. the car battery was testing low so mom said- go ahead and change that too. while the guys worked on the car mom and i went over to Ddunkindonuts. i ordered a box of holes- MOSTLY CHOCOLATE! the counter guy gave me some knuckle bumps and a box full of chocolate donut holes. i am happy.
it only took a few minutes to get the car sorted out. i ate a few holes while we waited. nom nom nom. delicious. i was rather annoyed with mom when she took the box off me and said i couldn't eat them all. moms, always ruining fun. car got done and mom drove us on to our next location- the dollar store.
dollar store is not really that great. they didn't have what mom was looking for but i scored a pool noodle. this day just keeps getting better. mom says if the sun ever comes out, we can hit the pool and try it out.
went to a few more stores with mom. she's looking for this special kind of knife that she uses in book making. no one has any. what the hell? mom did find a mango cutter to buy though. it's pretty cool.
after all that shopping mom and i went home. the weather is really weird- kind of cool and it could rain any second. we're just going to hide out inside until the weather figures out what it wants to do. ate some lunch and watched movies with mom. today she put on something called- superman. i have never seen this film before. it started off kind of boring and slow but by the end i was really into it. superman can fly. flying is pretty awesome. i talked mom into making me some paper airplanes and i threw them all over the room, along with my socks. i practised flying myself by jumping from the coffee table to the couch. mom was not impressed.
the sun finally came out around 6pm. mom got me a big bowl of soup which i ate up. then we went SWIMMING! it's been ages. a week's worth of rain will really cut into your splash time. i got to use my new pool noodle. it was great. the pool was a little on the cool side but i didn't care. i had a nice long slash and play. after the pool it was home for a quick bath.
so my first day without dad was alright. mom and i had some good fun. it's time to curl up on the couch for a bit of toystory and then bed.

it's raining out. like lots of rain. today mom and i just hung out in the livingroom. i made a fort out of pillows and blankets on the couch. i played with my marbles for a bit. mom did her work. she's making lots of books.
we watched the day after tomorrow and twister. not much to do when it's constantly raining.
went to piano practice. it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. lucky for us there was only a little rain when we went out. mom made me wear my big yellow puddle jumping boots anyway. good thing too since there are puddles everywhere. i'm guessing there will be mosquitoes eventually too.
piano lessons were fun. we just played around. we're starting to learn how to play happy birthday. it's kind of hard. aabafeaaba gf? i don't know. i was having a hard enough time just getting the aaba part down. i'll keep working on it.

monday time again. this morning i talked with jammma, grdad and eleanor. it was fun. after chatting mom dragged me out to get the chores done. today's goal was to get everything done before the rains came back. we did the trash and recycling. we dropped the laundry off to get cleaned. mom drove us to the library. we returned a bunch of books. mom picked out some new ones. i wanted to use the computers in the kid's room but the place was packed. mom said we couldn't wait around. so it was back in the car to put the laundry in the dryer. i started the machines. mom drove us to the park so i could have a run around while the clothes got dry.
at the park mom and i walked the big loop all the way around. when we were done she made me run the whole length of the field myself. then i finally got to play on the equipment. i did lots of climbing. i had fun. considering it rained all day long yesterday stuff was pretty dry today.
went back and picked up the dry laundry. mom took us home so she could fold and put it all away. i just hung out and watched pbskids. we had a little break and then it was off to walmart to get the shopping done. as a special treat mom said i could have lunch at mcdonald's. awesome. i ordered a mango smoothie and some french fries. it was great.
after i ate it was shopping time. mom and i walked around the store putting things in the cart. we got all kinds of random things. nothing super interesting, except a new popsicle mold. mom finally found the perfect one. whoo-hoo. i guess there are popsicles in my future. i can't wait.
mom paid for everything and back home we went, just in time. a huge rain storm came while mom was unpacking all our stuff. rain rain rain. lots and lots of rain this week.

rain rain rain rain rain rain rain and more rain. it's just been raining all day long. lots and lots of rain too, not just a little sprinkle. dad and i have been keeping busy playing video games and building lego. it can rain as much as it wants. we're having fun.

dad and i got to spend some time together this morning while mom went out real quick. there aren't many yardsales on today on account of the weather.
when mom came back she loaded us into the car and we all went shopping at the mall. how odd. dad needs new clothes for his big talk. none of the stuff mom and i picked out the other day fit. so dad and i went from store to store looking for just the right pants. not very exciting but hey, i'm spending time with my dad. at this one store dad found like 6pairs of pants to try on. eventually he found just the right pair. mom dug up a shirt for him to wear. alright dad is now set to give his talks.
after all the clothes were bought we walked over to cinnabon. mom got some sweet treats for us to take home and i got a mango strawberry chiller. not sure exactly what that is but man it was tasty.
we went back to the car and mom drove us off to dad's work. he's got stuff to do at the office. mom and i are going to go find some place cool to hide out.

not so rainy today. chatted with jammma and grdad on skype for a bit this morning and then it was off doing things with mom. we went to an estate sale. mom found a few random things to buy. santa claus was there. i swear to god. i saw him and said hello. mom got his card. mrs claus was there too. she talked with me while we all waited to buy our things.
got home. finally. it took for ever to get out of the estate sale. mom and i are going to hang out watching some movies. the rain should be back soon. booo rain.

PIANO LESSONS! that's about the most exciting thing i've done today. you know, florida, summer time, tropical depression off the coast. it's not much fun right now. it's gross and rainy. piano is fun though even if it is the same thing over and over. abcdefgabcdefgabcdefg. 2black keys, 3 black keys, this is middle c. blah blah blah. it's fun though.

what did i do today? i don't know, stuff. it's kind of rainy out. not a super lot but just enough to be annoying.
mom and i did some shopping for dad. he needs new pants and a shirt for his trip. it was our job to go out and find him some stuff. we went to a couple different stores. mom found the prefect shirt but tracking down the right pants was more of a challenge. it took awhile but we ended up for 3 pairs of maybe pants. mom says if they don't fit we're taking dad out on saturday and he can pick out his own darn pants.
shopping wasn't all bad. for a special treat mom and i had lunch at the mall. i got a fruit and yogurt cup with granola crunchies on top. it was delicious. mom got a 5aday. and then before we left mom took me to the smoothie stand and i ordered my very own mango strawberry smoothie. it was awesome. i love smoothies.
mom took me to the pool after i ate my dinner. that was fun. no one was around so i had the place to myself. i swam around a bit and then dad showed up! he took off his shirt and jumped right in the pool with me. we had  a nice swim around before going back home.

piano lessons today. abcdefg abcdefg. we learned how to find c. there's a secret c all the way at the end. you push a button and it makes a sound. i freaken love piano.

monday and that means doing chores. today was laundry and grocery shopping.  fun fun. not really. but i don't complain.

it's sunday that means- me and dad hanging out all day long doing fun stuff. we did the usual play video games. after lunch dad and i went swimming. awesome! i had a great time. i love my dad.

hung out with dad for a bit this morning. we played some video games while mom went out early to the yardsales. i like spending time with my dad. he gives me cereal that i like and sneaky sips of his coffee. we do guy stuff. mom came home with an arm load of books. they were all for dad. phew. i've got enough books to read. these ones were super big. 

mom and i drove dad to work for the day. booo. he's got some big talks to work on though, so i guess that's ok. bye dad, see you later. mom and i went around to a couple more yardsales before driving out to the fleamarket. whoo-hooo. 

the fleamarket was ok. i got a bag of donuts and a chocolate milkshake, to share with mom. we walked around and looked at all the different stuff. we saw the chickens and roosters. i stopped and chatted with them. i speak rooster you know. i like visiting with all the different animals. i saw the man who runs the rock and fossil stand. he's got an african grey parrot that sits on his head. it's very silly. 

after the fleamarket mom drove us home. it's so hot and nasty out. mom and i are going to hide out inside. dad should be home in a bit. we're going to hang out some more.

mom and i have been trying to take it easy. summer time in FL, it's kind of hot. this morning after breakfast time we went to an estate sale. nothing super exciting. mom picked up a couple pots or something. it's something to do.

not much to report. today i did piano lessons. it's pretty fun. we're playing those electric keyboard things and they make all kinds of different sounds. we worked on the musical alphabet: ABCDEFGABCDEFGABCDEFG. over and over again. we also had to figure out which was our right hand and which was our left hand. i'm thinking playing piano is pretty darn easy. i know all this stuff.

today has been just as busy but we actually did less stuff. got up this morning and mom was once again full of go go go. i had a bowl of my sugar coated crunchie pillows and it was jump in the car time. mom drove us to the park were we went hunting for shark's teeth last week. we were a little early but eventually a couple cars pulled up and kids got out. hi kids. today we went up with some of the gainesville homeschoolers.
everyone got their gear together and we set off into the woods. mom held my field notebook and she took notes of the different things we saw. she took some pictures too. my current obsession is mushrooms. every time i saw a mushroom i insisted mom snap a picture of it. after about 30, she gave up. there were lots of mushrooms. we also saw a bunny, hiding in the trees. there was a small fish pond with a bunch of goldfish swimming around. while we were looking at fish a frog kept talking. it sounded like a tree frog, no one could find him though. we saw some flowers and a couple butterflies. at the end of the walk mom saw a red crested woodpecker. i didn't see him though. i was too busy jumping on ant hills.
when the walk was done we all gathered at the picnic tables and had snacks. we talked about the different things we collected on our walk and made some leaf rubbing in our notebooks. pretty fun day.
when our meeting was done everyone said good bye. mom and i went down to the creek. we're hunting for shark's teeth! well mom's there to hunt shark's teeth. i'm all about splashing in the water, seeing if things float and generally making a mess. i was soaking wet and covered in sand before mom even made it into the water.
we spent about 2hrs slashing about in the water. mom found a bunch of teeth. i found a couple clam shells. so i kind of helped.
mom and i trudged back to the car. how are we going to get home if we're soaking wet and covered in sand? mom pulled a big bottle of water out of the trunk. she made me take all my clothes off and splashed me down with water- i'm clean! then she pulled out some dry clothes for me to put on. awesome. mom washed the sand off her feet and home we went.
back at the house mom gave me a quick bath just to make sure i was totally clean. i had my hair washed and everything. mom got her shower. we had some pizza for a late lunch. what a fun day. i asked mom to put on toy story. so we watched that for a bit before we both fell asleep on the couch.
dad's home now. this day went super quick.

today was my mom's turn to go to the dr's. i got up this morning and had just enough time to choke down a bowl of white sugar coated crunchie pillows before mom rushed me out to the car. we drove to her dr's office. i got to sit and watch while mom had all her tests done and answered questions. not very exciting and actually kind of gross. i hid behind the curtain for part of it. no one wants to see their mom naked, thing of nightmares.
when mom was finished with her appointment we went back home to do more laundry. yup, that's right. 2 loads yesterday and 2 loads today. that's a lot of laundry but now everything in the house is clean. we've got clean clothes, sheets and towels. even blueberry is fresh and clean. he smells wonderful.
i've decided my finger is healed up enough so while the laundry got clean mom and i went swimming. i spent almost 2hrs in the pool. alex and his mom came too. i touched alex's shark truck and that made him super mad. oops. as long as i didn't touch his truck, he was happy enough to play with me.
when the laundry was done mom and i headed home again. i got a smoothie for lunch. mom put on toy story for me to watch. we had a bit of quiet time watching movies until it was PIANO LESSON time!
mom drove us off to piano to find the piano lessons, just as a huge storm rolled up. we went to one place and there were no piano lessons. what the heck? they must have moved. so we went to the other address mom had and right at the place we need to turn was a big accident and the way was blocked. oh no! driving rain, heavy winds, general scary weather and we can't find piano lessons. mom drove through a store parking lot and luckily it met up with the other end of the street we needed. we made it to piano lessons just in time.
phew.
piano lessons were awesome. i get to stand and press buttons. every button you press makes a sound. i am in love. today we learned our abcdefg's. the music alphabet is way easier than the regular one. it was just me and this girl. supposedly other kids will be there next class. i had a great time. i can't wait until thursday.
got home from piano lessons and fell asleep on the couch. too much excitement for me. i only slept a bit. before i knew it dad was home. we're going to hang out and talk about stuff. tonight pbs is showing something about the war of 1812.

this morning i got up, mom made me eat some cereal- maple and brown sugar crunchie pillows. i was rather put out as i only ever want to eat cinnamon crunchie pillows. i made grumpy faces at  mom for a bit. got dressed and mom hurried me out the door before 9am. what the hell? my shows are on. mom said we're going to the dr's.
the dr is only down the street. got out, got checked in and waited for my name to be called. it's a kid's dr, so there's lots of fun stuff to do while you wait. i played with the train set.
so my name got called and i followed the nurse lady to the back. she measure how tall i am and how much i weight. my blood pressure got taken and my temperature. i sat in a room with mom for a bit. the dr came in and he had me take off all my clothes and throw them at mom. that was fun. the dr poked and prodded me, asked a bunch of questions. he tickled me. he listened to my breathing and then to my heart. all of a sudden he just grabbed my junk. hey now! i'm a big boy now and part of the big boy exam is checking to make sure peepee hose is normal. someone could have mentioned that to me.
the dr left and the nurse lady came back. she took me down the hall to test my hearing and vision. i had some headphones and every time there was a beep, i had to say beep. turns out my hearing is just fine. the vision test i had to say which was the E was pointing. sometime the E was big and sometimes the E was small, i answered all the questions correctly though. so i see and hear just fine. i really am just ignoring my mom when she asks me to do thing. haha.
after the hearing and vision test it was back to the room for the last job- a finger poke. i did not like that one bit. the nurse lady poked my finger and it bled. kind of hurty. she collected the blood and it's going to be sent off for tests. she gave me a bandaid. i didn't shriek or scream when she put it on. mom was impressed. i also got a lolipop. i guess the dr's isn't so bad.
mom and i left the drs and went home again. there's a lot of laundry that needs doing so mom gathered it all up and we dropped the clothes off to get cleaned. while everything was in the washer mom took me to the park. i didn't want to go swimming because i have a bandaid. i could bleed to death or something.the park was fun, but a bit hot. it is summertime in FL.
had a good play and then went back to put the clothes in the dryer. mom and i just went home. it's too hot to really do anything outside right now. i relaxed on the couch for a bit watching some pbs kids. went with mom to collect the clothes from the dyer. big chores are done for the day.
mom put on back to the future for me and i fell asleep. it happens. mom fell asleep too. lazy afternoon for us. after our naps mom dragged me out to the car and we went to walmart. kind of late in the day for that kind of thing but mom is looking for popsicle molds and other stuff. got a bunch of stuff but would you believe walmart didn't have a single decent popsicle mold for us to buy? what the heck. we got a bunch of strawberries and mangos though.
looking forward to my dad getting home so we can hang out.

today it was me and dad, doing stuff all day long. i love sundays. mom tried to get me to go to the library with her and to the grocery store but i said- no. i'm spending the day with my dad.
dad and i played lego all day long. it was great.
there was a big thunderstorm today but eventually the sun came out. first time in days the sun's been out. mom made me eat dinner and then we all got in our swims suits and hit the pool. i showed mom and dad how great i'm swimming now. it was nice.
got home and we all had showers. now it's time to sit on the couch and watch tv together.

not much to say about today. mom got up and made us blueberry waffles for breakfast time. i ate 2. they were very tasty.
after breakfast everyone got dressed and it was time to take dad to work. there was lots of rain and it was early so not many cars out on the road. much different from yesterday. yesterday there were a million cars taking everyone to dad's work.
dropped dad off and mom drove us around to a couple yardsales. the first sale was a fund raiser for a school so it was inside. mom found some random educational things to buy me and that was pretty much that. we drove off to the next sale . there was nothing really there. i saw lots of things i wanted but mom wasn't interested.
got home and that's that. just going to sit and watch some movies while the rain pours down. not an exciting weekend that's for sure.

it's raining out. lots and lots of raining. this morning i got up and plopped down on the couch. my dad was already gone. the rain woke me up and i had to go pee. mom let me sit there quietly for a few minutes before she started in- what do you want for breakfast? cinnamon crunchie pillows. mom says- no. so i opted for a cup full of maple brown sugar crunchie pillows. they're good enough.
mom's phone rang and it was my dad. he wanted a ride to work because it's so rainy out. so i had to get off the couch and get dressed. mom and i drove to the Y and picked up dad. we dove him off to work in the rain. there was some traffic. i guess everyone else was getting rides today too.
dropped dad off and it was off to do the grocery shopping. we were there super early so no one was about. mom and i did the shopping in piece. there was a big list of things to get. lots of things mom likes were on sale today. got the shopping done and mom drove us home again.
mom unpacked the groceries and then it was back in the car for us. we're going to some estates sales- in the rain. the first sale we went to was in a nice neighborhood nearby. the house was nice and clean. everything was organized and well priced. mom found a few things to buy. nothing super exciting. the next sale was not too nice. an older lady lived there and she just wasn't up to the challenge of keeping it clean. things were old and sticky. mom and i didn't buy anything. we just went off to our next mission- post office.
mom drove us to the post office. i put the postcard up on the counter and the girl told me it would be $1.05, so i handed her the money to pay. no big deal. one postcard on it's way to england.
our last chore of the day was to stop at the Y and pick up dad's keys. he accidentally left them there. oops. mom and i got them though and some paperwork to sign me up for swim lessons. awesome.
since it's so crap and rainy out mom says i can sit on the couch all day watching toystory movies. whoo-hooo.

today was kind of fun. mom signed me up for a kid meetup. we all met at a near by park. (mom and i got there just in time after making a quick stop at walmart to pick up pasta strainers, a stand trowel and TORPEDOES!) there were like 20kids all milling about. i saw a couple kids i've seen before at other dates. one of the boys is a little older and he was being cheeky so i copied him. mom was not impressed. so the park was pretty good. we all stomped through the woods to a stream. there was a bit of a muddy bank to clamber down and then we all stomped around in the water. that's right today's playdate was stomping around in the water. awesome!
really the playdate was about find sharks teeth in the sand. mom showed me how to fill my strainer full of sand and slowly shake it back and forth until all the sand flowed out and only rocks and bits remained. if you do that enough eventually you'll find a shark tooth from millions of years ago. i was more interested in splashing about. mom pretty much just left me to it. she was busy sifting sand. she found a bunch of teeth. i only found a few shells. it's hard work. making splashes is much more satisfying. it started to rain around noon time so everyone got out of the water and headed home.
got home and it was bath time. mom scrubbed all the sand off me. i got dried up and fresh clothes applied. the rest of the day is movie watching on the couch.

this morning my grdad and jammma had to leave. boooo. we all got up early. everyone got dressed. mom loaded us in the car and drove us to a nearby restaurant. there was much chatter and eating. except me, i didn't really eat anything. mom ordered me a biscuit but i thought everything smelled bad so i didn't want to eat.
after breakfast it was back in the car and mom drove us all to dad's work. dad got out and got covered in hugs and kisses by his mom and dad. embarrassing when you're 5, super embarrassing when you're old like dad. haha.
mom drove us back home and it was bathroom breaks all around and lugging bags out to the car. i can't believe it's been a month already. i wish jammma and grdad could stay longer but mom says they have things to do back in derby. oh well. they'll be back again eventually.
so all the bags were packed in the car. we all got in our seats and mom drove us down to orlando. it was kind of rainy but no big deal. it's a long drive but there was hardly any traffic so the trip went quick. it only took us 2hrs to get to the airport. mom found the good parking right near the entrance. she showed grdad how to get a luggage cart. all the bags got loaded onto the cart and into the airport we went.
jammma and grdad's flight wasn't for hours and hours. we got there kind of early, the check in desks weren't even open yet. we just walked around the airport for a bit. orlando has a pretty awesome airport even if it is full of screaming kids going disney crazy. we stopped for some lunch. i had garlic bread and dipping sauce in addition to a super yummy chocolate milkshake. mom's lunch wasn't so awesome. she ate most of her spinach stromboli thing before finding a dead ladybug in it. yuck. the food place gave her the money back though so no big deal.
after lunch we walked around a bit more. the check in desk finally opened so grdad and jammma got rid of their bags. mom sat down on a bench and i went off and had a walk on my own with jammma and grdad. we talked about stuff. we walked back to mom and said our final goodbyes. sad but not too sad. i didn't cry. mom and i walked over to the elevators. one was being worked on. i asked the guy what was going on. he let me behind the safety gate and i got to watch the repair man working on all the different wires. pretty awesome. that's something you don't get to do every day. the working elevator came. i gave one last wave to jammma and grdad and that was that.
mom and i walked back to the car alone. mom asked me not to open my car door but i did anyway. i opened it a bit too far and nicked the paint on the car parked next to us. oh man. i got a wicked telling off from mom. i don't see what the big deal is, our car was fine. lesson learned- nick the paint of a $60,000 car and mom will be rather annoyed. in my defence you'd think a $60,000 car would have a better paint job. that shit just came right off.
when mom was done giving me an earache we drove off into the rainstorm. we made it most of the way out of orlando before a massive storm poured down. hazard lights had to be turned on. it rained so hard everything went grey and you couldn't see the road or the car in front of you. pretty scary. mom and i made it through just fine though. the rain eventually eased up a bit and i fell asleep.
i woke up to mom slapping my leg and shouting- hardwick we're home! i opened my eyes, we were not home, just at the intersection near our house. it's rainy here too.
now i'm home mom and i are just going to take it easy for a few days. i'm going to watch back to the future.

today's my last full day of spending time with jammma and grdad. we're going to make the most of it by- going swimming. later there will be packing and scurrying while they try to get ready to go home. i am trying not to be too sad.

it's monday. dad went to work. i went swimming. jammma and grdad have decided they really like this florida lifestyle. get up swim. get some lunch. go swimming. find a restaurant to eat dinner at. yeah, it's pretty nice.

guess what- today i went swimming. yup.

today we took dad to work. well first we went out for breakfast time. yum! we ihopped it. mom let me order a waffle. it was delicious and HUGE! the restaurant was super busy so the food took a bit but man everything was tasty. after we all ate then it was time to take dad to work.
we dropped dad off- bye dad, see you later. mom drove me, jammma and grdad to the natural history museum. that's a pretty good place to spend a hot day. we walked around and looked at cool old stuff. there was a fossil guy there and we got to touch and look at some different fossils found around florida. we went to all the different rooms and learned about the local area. we visited the butterfly hatchery. i got to see butterflies straight from their cocoons. that was pretty neat. on the way out we hit the giftshop. jammma and mom both bought me cool science experiment type things. i got dishes to grow mold. paper to test for acid and a lemon clock. that's right, you put the probs in a lemon and it powers a clock. so you know what i'll be doing this afternoon. after swimming of course.

swimming again. it's super hot out, no one really wants to do anything so swimming it is. there are worst ways to spend a day

you know what i'm doing today? swimming. i'm working on using my snorkler. mom got me a snorkler, fins and a mask. right now the snorkler is my favorite. i can breathe under water. awesome

the sun has returned! mom says it's supposed to be 93degrees today but it will feel like 108. that's freaken hot out. i'm headed to the pool with jammmma and grdad. we're going swimming!

what did i do today? some stuff. it's been raining lots again. dana bunny and gdad left this morning. they gave mom some kisses to give to me so i got covered in kisses this morning. jammma and i did a couple science experiments. mostly it was about playing with balloons. we watched some shows.
mom got me dressed for karate this afternoon. we drove to karate and i fell asleep on the way there. jammma woke me up enough so mom could ask me if i wanted to stay for class or just go home for quiet time- home please. i'm just too tired. so mom just drove us back home. i got out of the car and was full of energy again. i spent the rest of the day causing chaos. dad was not impressed when he got home.

guess what, it's still raining. dad is taking the day off. awesome! mom took dad and grdad out for breakfast. i stayed home with jammma. i don't really want to go out in the rain and there's nothing i really want to eat at the flying biscuit.
mom, dad and grdad came back from breakfast. they said it was delicious. dad had too much coffee so mom suggested he take me, jammma and grdad to walmart for a walk around. cool. so we all drove off in the car and left mom home alone. we had a fun time roaming around the store. we got home to find mom gone. what the heck?
turns out dana bunny and gdad showed up and drove mom over to the grocery store. they came back with a load of stuff for a memorial day feast. since it's pissing down rain we all sat around watching movies and doing inside stuff. i mostly hung out with my dad. we played video games in the bedroom. i showed him how my new games work. mom and dana cooked up stuff.
in true american style we spent the day just sitting around and eating things. i'm so full. this has been a great birthday weekend for me. i'm kind of sad that it's time to say good bye to dana bunny and gdad. they are leaving early in the morning and i won't see them until later in the summer. boooo.

it's kind of not nice out. like really not nice. we've all just been sitting around watching movies while the rain pours down from the sky. there's some kind of tropical storm over our part of FL today. rain rain rain and more rain. dad snuck off to work.
i mostly just sat on the couch and played my new video games while the big people watched movies. i got the penguins of madagascar and spongebob games for my leapster explorer. awesome sauce.
went out to a restaurant for dinner. everyone voted for olive garden. they've got bread sticks! on the way there i saw a rainbow. it was cool. mom and i picked up dad and met the grandfolks at the restaurant. it was super busy but the grandfolks managed to get a table so we just sat down. dinner was ok. i sat next to mom and she kept trying to get me to try new things. i was happy enough eating bread sticks and red onions. i had a mango/peach smoothie too. i ate a tiny piece of broccoli. everyone said their food was yummy.

today is day 2 of my birthday celebrations. we're doing cake and presents today! since we were out most of the day yesterday, today we're just going to take it easy. mom is baking me a cake. some people are watching movies, others are swimming with me at the pool. and dad went off to work.
dad called and i went with mom to pick him up. the grandfolks drove to a restaurant. we all met up at the mongolian grill. whooo-hooo! mongolian grill. i got my own bowl to put things in. mom helped me. i got some broccoli, onions, peppers and carrots. i like all those things- blended. my veggies came back all nicely cooked. i ate a bit of broccoli. i ate a couple onions and peppers and even a few carrots. it was ok. i tried things and that's the important part. everyone else ate their bowls of cooked stuff up.
we went back home and i opened up my gifts. i got everything i wanted. there was happy dancing. even blueberry got a gift because it's his birthday too, he got a light blue blanket called sky. the gifts were really great. i am pleased.

mom went into the kitchen and we all gathered around the table. mom came out holding a huge green cake. just what i wanted! everyone sang happy birthday and i blew out the candle. mom cut the cake and it was chocolate with mint m+m's. very tasty. dana bunny did marshmallow flowers. i ate a whole flower in one bite. it was delicious.

today is my birthday. i am now 5. i have a lot planned for this year. i've been looking forward to being 5 for awhile now. got up this morning just in time to see mom driving off in the car. i waved at her. i sat around a bit talking with jammmma. mom came back and plopped down 2 containers worth of donuts on the table. she gave me some happy birthday kisses and handed me a box of donut holes. I LOVE DONUT HOLES!
dad came home from the gym and wished me happy birthday. everyone got ready and we piled into mom's car. she drove us over to the hotel where dana bunny and gdad are staying. there was a short conference to decide which was the correct gps address and then we divided up into cars. i rode with dana bunny, gdad and grdad in the big car. mom drove with dad and jammma. we all got on the highway and drove down to orlando.
we ended up at seaworld. mom got the tickets for everyone and we went through the gates. i've never been to seaworld before so it was all very exciting. we headed off to the killer whale show, first thing. that was amazing. the big whales just jumped right out of the water. i got splashed on by a killer whale! that doesn't happen every day. i loved it.
after the show we just roamed around the park. i saw all kinds of things. we stopped and visited the sharks. mom got a tray of food and we tossed chopped up fish down. the sharks really weren't interested. most of the fish bits got hoovered up by the rays. they're always hungry. mom made some lunch reservations at the shark grills. super fancy.
we went off and visited with the sea lions. they are stinky and noisy. mom got a tray of fish there too and we tossed them to the sea lions. that was kind of tricky as there were cheeky birds there trying to steal the fish. one flew by and almost stole the whole tray from mom. bad birds.
bummer for us the penguin house was closed down. they're building a new one that looks super cool. it's going to open next year. we walked around some more and found the skates and rays. mom got another tray of food and we fed them too. everyone got splashed. rays are very cheeky and like to splash people with their big wings.
we went off to lunch at the shark grill. mom ordered me some food but i didn't want it. i ate a couple french fries and that was it. i was having too much fun watching the huge sharks swim right by our table. the sharks were watching me eat! everyone wished me happy birthday. i am having a great day i must say.
after our fancy lunch with sharks we walked around more. we went to see the dolphin show. that was even better than the whales! there was all kinds of things going on. dolphins were jumping out of the water. people were flying through the air and then riding the dolphins around. parrots were flying through the audience. i didn't know where to look first. it was all very exciting.
the last show we caught was the seal and otter show. the seals were pretend pirates. it was ok. not as fun as the other shows. the otters didn't really do much. before we left the park we all stopped for a quick dinner at one of the restaurants. i had more french fries. we got our bathroom breaks in and then it was back to the cars.
dad drove us back home. i feel asleep pretty much right away. what a super fun birthday.

today was a little exciting. i went swimming with jammma and grdad this morning. we had a real good splash in the pool. got home, ate some lunch. we all relaxed in the coolness and watched a movie. mom got me dressed for karate at the usual time, but we didn't leave. we waited a bit and then who drives up to our house? dana bunny and gdad! oh how exciting. mom gave them her house key and rushed off to karate practice with me and grdad. i made it just in time. phew. jammma, dana bunny and gdad all showed up a few minutes later. everyone watched me do karate. i did a pretty good job too. mom had her meeting with my instructor, so all the important things are done. when class was over dana bunny and gdad went off to find their hotel and the rest of us went home.
dana bunny and gdad showed up at our place a little while later. i showed them some of my new stuff and talked with them a bit. it's so exciting to have all my grandfolks around. dad called and we all got in different cars and drove off to meet him at adam's rib for dinner. BBQ!  adam's rib is a pretty small joint and there were 7 of us, so we ended up just getting to go orders and driving back home with all our food.
the big people are going to sit around and eat and talk about stuff. i'm off to play

guess what i did today? went swimming and watched some movies. i won't complain. there are worse ways to spend a day.

i went to karate this afternoon. i was super good, mostly because i was half asleep. swimming all morning really wears you out.

not a lot to report. we've just been hanging out inside watching movies and swimming. it's too hot to really do anything. no one wants to move. mom took grdad out for some shopping but that's about it. i went for a swim, it was fun

not much going on. we had a wicked busy week last week so we're just going to relax for a bit. it's so stupid hot out. i went to the pool for a little while with jammma and grdad. i'm having a great time swimming. mom and dad went out to dinner, just the two of them. they ate mexican food. i've been trying new foods but i don't think i'm ready for mexican yet.

busy day today. it's saturday. dad went off to work this morning. mom drove the rest of us to my last football/soccer game of the season. it's stupid hot out. i stood around with mom and had my picture taken. it's team picture day. most of my team didn't show up. oh well. mom ordered a bunch of shots so everyone can have one of me, looking awesome in my uniform.
i was my usual self out on the field during the game. the ball would get near me but instead of kicking it i just turned and ran the other way. soccer really isn't my thing. i'd rather chase bugs and kick dirt mounds. when the game was over the coach made a little speech and then handed out trophies. i got one with my name on it! i have an award. this is totally a spongebob moment.
mom hurried us back to the car and drove us home. it was just a quick stop for a change of clothes and bathroom breaks. then it was back in the car for our event today: touch a truck. i'm not sure who had more fun, me or grdad. we got to touch all kinds of trucks. there were loads of them in a field. i got sprayed by a water truck. that felt great. i beeped horns on all kinds of big trucks. i got to climb all over a fire truck. that was pretty cool. there's all kinds of neat buttons and dials to look at. there was an olden style fire truck there too which was converted into an ice cream shop. we all got ice cream cones! i shared with mom. we had cookie dough. we got to the event kind of late because of my game so i didn't get to touch every truck there. i had a quick sit in the walmart semi. that thing was big enough for 2 beds! i ran down the empty cargo area too. what an echo! the last thing i did before we left was get in the crane. i pushed and pulled levers and the crane lifted and dropped. super cool.

touching trucks was awesome! and that was how i spent my day. we stopped off at sonics on the way home for a late lunch. nom nom nom. chocolate milkshake for me!
