i have been keeping my mom and dana very busy. today i did have a bit of a sleep in though. i didn't get out of bed until 7am. mom was already up, she said she had been waiting for me since 5.30am. oh well. maybe next time mom. i got a nice plate of toaster waffles for breakfast. they were tasty as always. afterwards mom gave me a bowl of fruit- mango with yogurt and a pumpkin granola bar. i had a good breakfast. everyone else got up and ate too.
dana, mom and i set off from the house bright and early. first we drove down into oxford to get some chores done. dana needed to go to the post office so i went in and helped her. we bought stamps. i got a lollipop! going to the post office rules!
after we got stamps dana mailed off a bunch of things and our chores were done. off we went for a fun morning at the park. the park was not so exciting today. i've done pretty much everything there. not many kids were around so i just kind of wandered around aimlessly. dana and mom took turns on the walking track. after they were done walking we just got in the car and went home.
i'm having a pretty good time with all the neat toys at dana's house. my favorite thing right now is uncle ricky's old remote controlled car. i drive it all over the house. the only big rule is i can't run over the cat with it since he's really old. there's a spot at the back of the car which is just big enough to hold my juice cup. my juicy goes speeding all around the house and then when the car stops, it goes flying. good fun.
did the usual noon time things. mom got my lunch and i ate it. i got sent off for naps but never really took one. i just sat in bed with dana bunny. she read a book and i thought about stuff. i went off to use the bathroom and ended up doing an epic poop. dana said she was well impressed. i felt a little better after that and had a short nap. mom came and woke me up.
i didn't really want to get up but mom said it was time to go shopping. i like shopping. dana drove us to walmart. i sat in the cart while mom pushed me all around. we got random things. mom had mostly snack treats on her list today for some reason. she says they are for our next adventure. we ran into dana. we all agreed it was time to go, so off we went to pay. dana drove us back home, just in time for dinner!
i had a very nice dinner. dana made me a garlic breadstick, just like you get at restaurants. it was soooo good. uncle ricky came over and he was jealous when he saw my breadstick. i ate up my orange soup. i had another bowl of fruit, this time it was a nectarine. then mom got my apple sauce with cinnamon cracker crunchies- very tasty. for an extra special treat i then got a chocolate pudding cup! oh man, i was stuffed.
mom has been helping dig things out of the attic. she's going to sort through boxes while i watch movies with dana and gdad. tomorrow is another busy day.

today i went to the park with mom and dana. it was fun. there were loads of kids running around. i ran into a little boy who looked just like me. he had a shaved head, orange shirt and plaid pants on and so do i! it was weird. we ran around a bit together having fun. he then went off to do things with his dad. while running i tripped over a little kid. i fell over, he fell over. we laughed and then got into a fake fall competition. he does pretty good fake falls. then he started to run around in circles, i like doing that too! he wanted to follow me around so i showed him how to do some big boy things. some of the things were a little hard for him and his mom said- don't worry, when you're a little older you can do it, just like my mom says. crazy.
dana and mom eventually rounded me up and we set off in the car for our days adventure. today we went to wye mills. it's a little town out in the corn fields. they have a stream, a mill with a water wheel, a very old tree that fell over and that's about it really. we mostly went to see the mill. since there was a big storm not much was going on at the mill. the lady there was very nice though. she let us poke around the basement. it was flooded during the storm and smelled very weird. i got to see some belts and gears. we went upstairs. the lady showed us around. she let me raise the grind stone. i had to turn a wheel and that turned some gears and the big heavy stone lifted up. the guide lady told us all about the different parts of the machines and how things work. i got to grind some corn with a hand grinder. that was great fun. i did like 5 hoppers worth. at the end of the tour i then went back to all the machines and talked about how each one worked. the lady said i did such a good job i could stay the rest of the day and run the place. mom wouldn't let me though. she bought some bags of flour and honey, then off we went.
on the way home we stopped at uncle matt's. ronnie wasn't there so i just sat on the couch while dana helped uncle matt with a quick job. dana didn't take long. we got back in the car and went home to easton.
mom got my lunch and i ate it up.
that's my day really. i had a little nap. got up and just played with the remote controlled truck in the backyard. lazy summer afternoon for me.

busy day for me. got up and did the usual morning things. after everyone had breakfast and got dressed, dana took me and mom to the park in easton. the place was packed full of kids. i guess everyone needs a good run around after the stormy weekend. i ran around and around. dana and mom took turns on the walking track. one would stay with me while the other one walked. so everyone got their fresh air and exercise in  today.
when we were done at the park dana drove us down to cambridge for our adventure- charity shopping. we went to two different charity shops. the first one was not to exciting. they had hardly any toys. mom dragged me around looking at boring grown up things. eye roll. dana bunny found a bowl to buy, that's about it really.
we went to the next stop- a big charity shop, across the street. oh man. mom bought the place out. she found loads of things. i got a bunch of board games and a new parrot friend. mom got an end table and a leather bucket. mom bought so much stuff we had to make 2 trips to the car to carry it all and she only spent $9. it was a good trip.
the car was full of stuff so dana drove us home again. mom unloaded all the purchases. i had a bathroom break and then it was back in the car. dana and i went to visit with uncle matt and ronnie. awesome. ronnie had the day off on account of the weekend storm. we had a great time running around and playing while dana watched. we did have a little disagreement. ronnie wouldn't let me play with his remote controlled police car. he didn't want to share. dana said- if you don't share then we're going back to my house and only hardwick can play with my remote controlled car. there was no sharing so dana loaded us all into her car and we drove back to her house. ronnie brought his police car. dana went into the closet and pulled out a huge black remote controlled truck- just for me to use. ronnie made a great sad face. he then tried to get me to trade cars, no way. dana's big truck is way cooler. shortly there after uncle matt showed up so ronnie had to go.
not a bad day. i'm worn out

is the rain ever going to end? got up this morning and it was still storming out. what the heck? there's no power. i can't watch tv on mom's computer. there's really nothing for breakfast. what to do? mom suggested we go find a restaurant. we all got dressed and gdad drove us into easton. there's a lot of mess in the roads. leaves and tree limbs are everywhere. on the bridge we drove past a miserable looking seagull. he was just standing there. we drove around for a bit but couldn't find any restaurants open. we did see some trees down and some flood water. the parking lot at one of the hotels had cars floating around. their storm drain backed up. oops.
in the end we went to the grocer store. mom ran and and returned quickly with a small carton of milk, corn chips, salsa and potato chips. i'm pretty sure the only thing i'm getting is a bowl of cereal. the big people have a much more interesting breakfast planned.
sure enough, we got home and i had a bowl of cereal. gdad got amish cream cake and dana and mom ate potato chips. what the heck? it wasn't all bad. mom let me have coco puffs, chocolate cereal- for breakfast, what a world.
the power was out so gdad finally dug out his generator and fired it up. it's just a small one. first things first he made a pot of coffee. after that the fridge was plugged in. then we all just sat around and looked at each other. i wanted to do all kinds of things like- use the computer, watch tv, turn on the lights to use the bathroom, flush the toilet but apparently you need electricity to do all those things. bummer.
at noon time the sun finally came out. phew. mom made me a quick samich. after i ate it was hop in the car time. dana drove me and mom down into oxford. the road was pretty clear. there were a couple trees down here and there but no signs of major damage. we went to check on dana's boat, it was fine. we saw a few flooded streets and places but dana didn't seem alarmed. she said those place always flood. so it looks like oxford made it through ok this time.
we went back home and found the power on. whoooo-hoo! mom ran around the house flushing toilets. then she turned on finding nemo for me. i didn't watch much of it because uncle matt and ronnie showed up. uncle matt invited me to join them at the park, hell yes! so i went to the park and had a blast. ronnie and i ran around like crazy people. it's nice to be out of the house.

storm, big storm. hurricane irene is here. mom says we could loose power any minute. the day started out ok enough. i got up, ate breakfast. mom and i got dressed. we went for a walk up the street. then we walked down the street to oxford road. mom and i went across the bridge. we looked at the water. it was kind of windy and very grey out. mom said that today- it will rain. we walked home.
we got back to the house and a short time later it started to rain and it got windy. very windy. and it rained some more. and the wind blew harder. according to mom it's going to be like this until tomorrow. chances are the power will go out and that will be that. until we do loose power though, i get to watch spongebob on mom's computer. so it's a day of watching spongebob and eating snack food for me. see you all later.

today is all about getting ready for some storm that's coming. i ran around with mom and dana all morning doing storm chores. we went shopping. the only thing that went in the cart was: water, soda, toilet paper and junk food. um, ok. is this a storm or a party? mom says- same thing. if you're going to be stuck inside for 24hrs, or more, you might as well enjoy yourself.

today i went to the seaside and it was awesome!
the day started off normal enough. dana and gdad wanted to do something in oxford so mom and i went with them in the car. they dropped us off outside of town in a boring ass graveyard. oh man. i stomped around the graveyard with mom while she told boring stories about the american revolution. some revolution guy is buried there so we checked out his markers. so boring. i just wanted to throw stuff in the water, i mean it's right there for christ sake. who makes a graveyard right next to a river? kind of gross if you ask me. anyway dana eventually came back for us and took us home.
got back to dana's and there was a boat in the front yard. where did that come from? dana said that's what they moved from oxford. cool. she let me sit in it while she pulled the boat around to the backyard. oh man that was so fun. then she went inside and i got to stay in the backyard playing with the boat. there was no mast so i stuck an oar in the mast hole. it worked perfect. i pretended to sail around the yard.
i had a nice play and then mom called me into the house. it's time for the seaside! so off we went to the car. dana's friend susan showed up and came with us. once she got in dana's car, off we went. it's kind of a long drive to where we went but i was good. blueberry came with me so the two of us messed around playing i spy.
we went to a place called assateague. it's a small island famous for it's wild ponies. dana drove us around and sure enough, we saw some ponies wandering around munching on grass. yeah yeah that's great, now what about the seaside? dana parked and we all got out. it was just a short walk to the ocean. wow. i got over the top of the dune and there was miles of fine white sand. the beach is huge! there is a big storm headed our way so the ocean was really choppy. i didn't care, i just ran right in. i had so much fun. i love the seaside. mom does not. she made unhappy faces and went back to the car early. the wind was really high and that sandblasted her glasses to the point she couldn't see. i staid with dana and susan. we saw dolphins! they were swimming by right off the beach.
dana and susan finally dragged me off the beach and back to the car. i got showered off and changed into some dry clothes. then it was back in the car for us.
dana drove us to the next town- ocean city, md. it's a big seaside resort. there was so much cool stuff to see, i didn't know where to look first. i saw waterslides, crazy golf, ice cream stands and more beach. there were rides to go on. oh it was all very exciting. we ended up at a pizza joint. mom ordered me a bunch of different food but all i wanted was french fries. i got the biggest pile of fries i've ever seen. they were super good. after everyone was stuffed full of food we went for a short walk down the boardwalk. mom said- you can't go to the seaside and not have ice cream. so we found a dairy queen ice cream store and mom ordered me a mini blizzard chocolate extreme. and it was extreme. blizzards are kind of like super thick milkshakes. you need a spoon to eat them. oh so tasty.
after ice cream it was back in the car and we went home. phew. what a day. i fell asleep on the ride back. i had a super nice day.

earthquake! there was an earthquake. it was pretty wild. i saw things move. i was in the bedroom getting ready for naps. i was bouncing around the room, goofing off. things started to go all crazy. mom came running back and was about to tell me off for making so much noise in dana's house but changed her mind and started shouting- earthquake! instead. she grabbed me and we just rushed into the other room to find dana. and then it was all over. the house rattled and shook but no real damage. a plate fell over in dana's fancy stuff cabinet as did mom's toothbrush. that's it.
uncle rickie called just to make sure it was a real earthquake. he was digging holes at work and was not totally convince he and his team mates didn't cause the whole thing.
i still managed to get my nap in. i was pretty tired. mom took me on one of her forced marches this morning. we walked down old country club road- a mile there and a mile back. phew.
after the walk we went home and got dana. she drove us down to oxford. we went to the boatyard but not to swim. dana has boat work to do. i got to go up the ladder on to the boat. it was very cool. kind of scary on the ladder but i handled it well. i went down inside the boat and looked around. there's a kitchen in there and a couple beds. looks like a nice place, kind of like a house but smaller. then we went back on deck and mom took some pictures of me. mom and i left dana to work.
mom drove me into oxford. went went to the town park. i had a quick go on the slide. there were a couple boys there playing so i kind of joined them in a run around. we all played on the wooden train for a few minutes. the boys had to go then i had the whole place to myself. mom and i went down to the little beach. i splashed in the water and played with my sandtoys. it was a fun 2hrs. mom brought snacks so before we left i ate a banana and a granola bar. man i'm starving.
i got cleaned off and it was back in the car. mom drove us back to the boatyard. she talked to dana for a minute and then off we went, back home. that was my morning.

i got a life jacket today. it's to help me float if i fall off a boat. i tried on a couple different jackets. dana helped me pick out a really nice one. the sides adjust so i should be able to wear it for a few years.
other than that, nothing too exciting going on. i'm just helping mom and dana do the chores. we do a lot of shopping. a lot of shopping. there's supposed to be a big storm headed our way so everyone is watching that.

today is my dad's birthday- happy birthday dad. mom says we will call you later.

today everyone has on their relaxing pants. it's all been go go go since mom and i got here. now we get to relax a bit. dana bunny took me to the park this morning after we dropped mom off at the Y. mom got her workout in and i got to run around and have fun. the park was full of kids. we were all running around having fun.
other than that i've just watched a few movies. this morning after breakfast i watched finding nemo. after lunch mom and i cuddled and we watched toystory.
i just got up from a good nap. ronnie was here for a few minutes and we had snack together. uncle matt just came to pick him up though. they are going back to school shopping. ronnie starts second grade tomorrow.

today has been busy. dana has been cooking up a storm. there are pies and food everywhere. we're having a big party for g-dad's birthday.
i got to go for a ride on uncle ricky's boat. he took me and gdad out for a quick ride. it was so much fun. his boat has loads of buttons and i pressed them all. so much fun!
my uncles matt and ricky have come over. and they brought their ladies- aunty kathy and miss melissa. and then ronnie and sammie came too! we're just having a little family get together.
the party was really good. i got to eat things like peach pie and mint chocolate chip ice cream. mom tried to make me try different party food but i wasn't interested. lucky for me dana had some soup for me.

i went to the zoo! we all got up early. mom fed me and we got ready. dana got up too. we said our goodbyes to gdad and out the door we went. dana drove us to ronnie's house and we picked him up. dana drove and drove. it seemed like forever but it's really only like 1.5hrs to washington dc. we parked outside the city and took the train in. we got to ride the train!
not only did we ride the train but we even had to switch trains to go where we wanted. it was all very exciting. there are lights on the platform and they flash when a train is coming into the station. since it's saturday it wasn't really busy. mom says during the week you can't move for all the people in suits.
got to the zoo. it was pretty good. we saw some animals. i was more interested in finding and eating a snow cone. i told mom that was really the only thing i wanted to do. i want a snow cone, just like on penguins of madagascon. so we ate some lunch. i got some fruit and yoghurt, nice and refreshing. everyone ate their food and we set off. dana found a snow cone stand down near the small mammal house. we went in and saw all the different small mammal- mostly monkeys. that was good. when we got out it was snow cone time! i got a lemon flavored one and ronnie got strawberry. we walked down a little hill and found a nice shady bench to sit on. i had to share my snow cone with mom, eye roll. it was good. we walked around a little more and saw things like turtles and gorillas before going back to the train for our ride home.
we had a really nice day out. ronnie and i both fell asleep in the car going home. dana stopped for ice cream. since i was alseep i didn't get a choice. i had to share mom's peanut butter cookie blizzard thing. it was ok. she ate a bunch and then put my part in the freezer. i got to eat it after my dinner.
now i'm just going to cuddle with blueberry

after sitting in a car all day yesterday, i am off on an adventure. see you later.
auntie kathy has invited me to the seaside with her and ronnie. dana and mom packed me a bag with everything i would need for a fun day out. ronnie and i are going to look for shark teeth. i can't wait. we're going to have so much fun

today i sat in the car- all day long. everyone got up early. mom threw a bunch of stuff in bags. dad went off to work. i gave him big hugs and kisses before he left. dana herded us all into her car and off we went. all before 7am.
dana drove and drove. i sat and sat. dana drove some more. i wiggled and sat. long boring car ride.
we did make a few stops. we went to a place called cracker barrel for breakfast/lunch. i had a huge plate of pantakes, which i ordered myself. i told the lady- i would like orange juice and pantakes please and that is what she brought me. my breakfast was tasty.
back in the car and we drove some more. dana stopped so we could all have a pee break and stretch our legs. we drove some more. mom passed around the snacks. finally we stopped for dinner around 6pm.
we ate at this place called perkins. mom and i had never been there for food. it was ok, nothing special. i got a small pizza and a side of fruit. i tried some of dana's french fries but would not try mom's mac and cheese.
with our bellies full of food it was back in the car for another couple hours. we finally got to dana's at 10pm. i fell asleep so mom had to carry me in the house. i'm going to pee real quick and then- straight to bed.

today i had to help mom and dana do some more shopping. we went to the mall. mom and i hung out at the kids play place while dana went into some shops. i had a great time running around. dana came and got us when she was done. we all went out to lunch at ruby tuesday. mom ordered me a lemonade and a yogurt fruit bowl. dana and mom tried to talk me into eating their food too but no thanks.
after the mall we had to get groceries. dana is making a peach pie for dad's birthday treat. we're celebrating it today since mom and i are going out of town tomorrow.
got home and mom sent me off for a nap. dana made pie while i was sleeping. i woke up and the house smelt great. since it's dad's birthday he got to pick dinner. he came home and we all got ready to go out for a nice meal. dad said he wanted to try sonny's bbq place, so that's where we went.
sonny's was pretty cool. i got a chair to sit on and everyone else had to sit on benches. mom let me order a root beer for my drink. it came in a huge cup. i was messing around and fell right off my chair and the root beer tipped over and splashed all over my hair and face, and that was with a top on it. i thought it was kind of funny, mom did not.
everyone ordered food. mom got me a basket of french fries. awesome! i squirted out a bunch of ketchup and ate up. i love french fries. the food was tasty. i think dad had a good time. i know i did.
got back home and dana gave me a bowl of peach pie with ice cream. i liked it. i've never had peach pie before. it was good. now it's time for bed. mom says we're all getting up super early and doing stuff in the morning. dad invited me to sleep over with him tonight so we can have a little more guy time. awesome! later

busy morning today. i got up this morning when dad's alarm went off. we hung out on the couch watching the morning news. mom got up and made me a breakfast smoothie. it was a huge smoothie. it took me awhile to drink it all. very nice though. it made a change from crunchie pillows.
dad went off to the gym and then he came home. what's dad doing home? mom said we had to take him in the car to the insurance lady. so we did that. the insurance lady took dad's licence and then said- you're all set. dad got his licence back and now he is insured to drive the car. just in time too since mom and i are headed out of town for awhile.
mom and i drove dad to work and dropped him off. i helped mom do the rest of today's chores. we filled up the car with petrol, or gas as mom likes to say. we drove to target for some shopping. mom got a couple things to clean the house. got some grapes. i like grapes.
after shopping mom and i went to the library to return books. mom used the book drop. there's a hole in the wall and you just drop books through it. cool. we didn't even have to undo our seatbelts.
got home and mom did some cleaning. she pushed mr hoover around the house and he sucked up loads of crumbs. i sat and played with toys. mom tried to get me to eat lunch but i wasn't interested. it's time for naps now. stupid naps.
dana and gdad are here! whooo-hoo. and they got here just after mom put me in my room for naps, so that means- no naps for me! i gave everyone big hugs and said hello.
mom and gdad went out for subways. mom brought me back one. i ate it and it was tasty. screw peanut butter and jelly. i want subway!

good day, good day.
i've been asking my dad to take me for a hair cut, mostly because i want a lollipop but kind of because my hair is getting long. dad said he could cut my hair with the buzzers. i thought about it for a bit and said- ok. dad got the buzzers and i got my head shaved. my hair is super short now.
mom made a huge batch of waffles. she said we have to test the waffle maker, we might as well do it right. there were loads of waffles and they were all very tasty.
after breakfast mom took me to the pool and to do laundry. i like helping with the laundry. i get to push the coins in. they plunk down into the machine and then the water fills the machine. cool. so the clothes got clean while i splashed in the pool. dad came and he had a splash too. i like playing in the pool with dad. he lets me go in the deep end.
the laundry finished and we all went home. mom made us smoothies for lunch. mine was tasty. i am liking the smoothie blender. after smoothies i went off to bed for an early nap. playing in the pool really wears me out. so i had a nice nap. mom woke me up after a few hours.
it was decided that we should all go to walmart for our afternoon fun. so dad drove us to walmart. i got to sit in the cart while dad pushed me around the shop. we got a couple things on mom's list. i got some goggles for the pool. i can see underwater now. i asked mom to get popcorn so we could make some. she got a bag of popcorn eggs. she says when you heat them they hatch and you get poppity corn.
got home and mom made me and dad dinner. i ate up all my soup. it was good. after dinner was done mom made up the popcorn. it took awhile for them to hatch but we finally got a big bowl full of fluffy poppity corn. i took one bite and decided i didn't like it. oh well. mom and dad can eat it all.
tonight dad and are going to have a sleep over. we're going to stay up late chatting and listening to the radio.

this morning mom got up early. she got my breakfast, gave me a kiss and went out the door. i guess it's just me and dad for a bit. 

dad and i hung out and did guy stuff. mom wasn't around so we could do what we wanted. dad said we could go for a bike ride. awesome. dad road his bike and i got to ride mine. we just went over to the park. i had a fun time running around and doing the swings. it got kind of hot so we road our bikes home. 

got home and mom was back from her adventure. the house was full of things she found. i got a bunch of great new things. i got some new friends- a bunch of birds and a jellyfish. i got a science project game and two other boardgames. there were a pile of shoes for me, they're kind of big though. mom says i will grow into them. mom also got a blender and a new waffle maker. i like blending things and waffles. best of all mom got a clock radio for me and dad. awesome.

mom made up some lunch for me. i reluctantly ate it. i'm getting tired of eating peanut butter and jelly. mom made a smoothie for dad. i got to try some of that. it was very tasty. 

i got sent off for a nap but i never took it. i just played in my room. mom was not too thrilled. oh well. i didn't want to take a nap so i didn't.

not much going on tonight. i ate my dinner. dad ate his dinner. we're all going to hang out and watch a film now. family time.

today has not been the best day. mom and i are fighting about stuff. we had a big fight this morning at the charity shop. she picked up a clock radio to look at. i jumped up and tried to snatch it away from her. we walked around a bit while she held the radio. i followed her around shouting- i want a clock radio! i want a clock radio! let me see it! but it for me! needless to say mom was not impressed and the clock radio went back on the shelf. that produced some tears and more shouting. mom just dragged me out of the shop and we got back in the car without buying anything.
on the way home we stopped at the grocery store. that went ok. at least i didn't get told off. i did get told to stop repeating myself. apparently i don't need to say 'i want pizza' 20times in a row. mom says she usually hears me the first time. if she can hear me then why is a pizza not instantly produced?
got home and mom made me some lunch. i ate that up. for something different i just had peanut butter on crackers and a bowl of watermelon and pineapple. nothing too heavy, it's really hot out. for a special treat mom and i had some fancy ice cream. that was cold and tasty.
mom sent me off for a nap but i didn't take a nap. i kept getting out of bed and going in to mom's room. mom was sleeping so i just woke her up. i want juice, get me juice. is nap time over yet? once again, mom was not very happy. i did not get a nap and mom did not get a nap, there will be grouchy later i'm sure.
this afternoon has been ok. just playing with my linky logs and listening to mom's mp3 player. i have decided i like mom's mp3 player.

pretty good day for me today.
started off the day with a trip to the Y. we almost didn't stay. when we got to the drop off the girls said there was no more room and they were too full of kids. i made sad faces while mom tried to cheer me up. i was really looking forward to hanging out. mom and i headed back to the car but the girl came after us and said- she would work something out and i could stay- yeah. mom did her workout and i got to play with toys and kids.
after the Y mom and i hit a bunch of charity shops. gainesville has lots of charity shops and they are all spread out so we can only visit a couple a day. today we did 3 stores. wednesday must be charity shop day because all the parking lots were jammed pack. it was hard to find a parking space.
the first shop we visited mom missed the turn and we had to go around the block. the parking lot was full anyway. by the time we made it around again a space opened up. we parked and checked out the shop, it was in an old house. there was some interesting stuff but we didn't buy anything. mom says for used things, it was pretty expensive. so we left and visited an educational store which was across the parking lot. the educational store was full of stuff and i just walked around following mom trying to take things off shelves- buy me this, buy me this. mom was all- you don't even know what that is. i'm not just buying stuff. so i got all pouty and we left.
at the next shop mom missed the turn again and we had to go around the block. seems the talking lady doesn't give very good directions. had some better luck in the second shop. mom found me a really awesome big kid microscope and bought it. score
on our way around the block we passed a huge charity shop so mom took us back there to check it out. good thing mom got a basket at the door because she filled it up. she got me a couple leaning books. then she found a container of lincoln logs, mom assures me they are very cool. she also dug out a great electric keyboard. awesome! i can make music again. i tried to talk her into buying me a real full sized piano but mom said- no, they're too big. someday.
after all that shopping mom and i were pretty tired so we went home and ate lunch. we had pizza for a special treat. it was good. i had my nap.
this afternoon mom and i have been playing linky logs. they are pretty cool. basically you making buildings and they look like log cabins. i've also been playing with my new keyboard. i wrote a little song called clue. i have a clue, how about you? and then there's a little dance to go along with it, just silly stuff.

nothing super exciting today. it's soooo hot out. mom and i have just been relaxing and watching shows on tv. i am really into the pbs kids. they have some great shows.
we did go out for a little bit for some shopping. mom picked up some groceries for dinner.

it's monday. the day has been ok for me. mom and i hit the Y this morning. i do enjoy going there. i like hanging out and playing with the toys. after the Y mom asked me if i wanted to check out some charity shops. OK!
so mom drove us through town and we found a couple charity shops. the first one was pretty good. they had mostly clothes, lots and lots of clothes. there were some books and mom picked out a couple for me. mom paid for the books and we went to the next shop, which was just next door.
the second shop was even bigger than the first. they had everything packed in there, it was like a regular store. mom and i walked all around and checked things out. she found a couple shoes for me and a little pot. mom was all excited about the little pot. i didn't get it, it's just a little pot, it looks just like the other pots we already have.
there really wasn't much in the way of toys. oh well. we waited in line and mom paid for her stuff.
mom said there was another shop not to far away so we drove to that. the third shop was packed full of kids toys. they even had an enclosed pen for kids to play in. it was good fun. mom found a bunch of stuff to buy. she got a pair of ugly shoes for 50cents and a couple books for me. the best thing of all though was the huge stuffed penguin she found. she paid for him and then handed him to me. i gave him a big hug. i love penguins. i am going to call this one ricco, like on penguins of madagascon.
mom and i left the store and the sky outside was black. mom was all- there's a big storm about to happen we better hurry home. on the way home there was lots of rain and a bit of lightning. i could hardly see out the window the rain just blocked everything out. got home and mom and i ran into the house.
i guess the rest of the day we're just going to hangout inside.

this morning mom took me to the pool bright and early. she put the laundry in to get clean and i splashed around. there were two little boys already in the pool with their mom and dad. i've met them before so i said hey to them. i kicked around a bit on my board while mom watched me from the bench. she got up and let dad in the gate. dad's here! he got in the pool with me and we had a great time. mom went home to take care of some house work. i got a little carried away playing with my swimming fish and i almost hit another dad in the face. my dad told me off and made me get out of the pool. doh. then mom showed up and he told her what happened, doh again. mom got the laundry and we all went back to our house for lunch. good thing too because i was hungry.
i ate my lunch all up and then mom sent me off for a nap. i was cool with that. all the swimming this morning really wore me out.
had a nap and it wasn't long enough. mom was poking me away before i knew it. go away lady. she kept bothering me so i eventually got up. it took awhile for my grumpy to wear off but it did just in time for us to go grocery shopping.
dad drove us to the store. i got to ride in the cart while dad pushed me around. we had a fun chat while mom did the shopping. she walked around with the list and gathered all the stuff. finally the cart was full. we paid for the stuff and dad drove us back home again.
not sure what we're going to do tonight. i'm going to try and talk dad into a game of chutes and ladders.

it's saturday! i wanted pantakes for breakfast but mom would only agree to make waffles. ok ok. i ate the banana cinnamon waffles and they were good. we had a long slow morning and took our time getting ready. eventually everyone was ready and we all got in the car. it was hot. thank goodness for airconditioning.
dad drove us around town this  morning. first stop was a yard sale. we got there kind of late, all the good stuff was already gone. next stop was a shop called big lots- they sell a bit of everything, kind of like wilkos but trashier. the store is not very organized and seems beat down. i went in there with dad while mom hit the last day of the kid's consignment sale- 1/2 off. mom came and found us when she was done. she had a bag full of stuff- but no toys. i saw a toy in big lots i realllllly reallllly wanted. it's a green garbage truck from toystory3. it talks and it's a garbage truck. dad wouldn't let me get it so i tried mom. mom said- $12? no freaken way. i was pretty sad about that but mom made me a deal- if i could find it in a charity shop, she would buy it. ok then.
we left big lots and headed to today's adventure stop- the natural history museum of florida. eye roll. actually it wasn't too bad. there was all kinds of things to look at and some buttons to push. if i get to push buttons, i am happy. they had a penny squishing machine and mom let me do one. it costs 51cents to squish a penny. mine has dinosaur bones on it. the museum is pretty cool and i will definitely go back. we stopped at the gift shop on the way out. mom got me a periodic table of the elements placemat. i really just wanted a magnet.
it was lunch time so dad drove us to the burger bar restaurant we've eaten at a few times. we parked the car and there were so many people we couldn't get in the door. mom took a look in and said- no way are we eating here today. the place was packed. i was a bit upset. i wanted my yoghurt treat. i started shouting at mom and she was shouting at me. dad drove us to a burrito place instead. i continued to shout at mom- i want treats for lunch! i want treats for lunch! mom was not happy with me. there was crying. mom and dad ordered food. i got to eat some corn chips and share a soda with dad. well i kind of shared, i ended up drinking pretty much all of it. even though it was sugar free and caffeine free, it did have some fake colors in it and chemicals. i went a bit nutty when i got home.
we finished lunch and dad drove us home just in time for naps. i ran around the house and shouted at mom- i don't want a nap. dad just messed around on the computer. next thing i know mom is telling me grdad and jammma are on the computer and want to talk to me. i zoomed out of my room. i really miss grdad and jammma. i almost cried when i saw them on the screen. i couldn't talk for a bit. the skype kept messing up but i did managed to have a little conversation with grdad and jammma before a storm came and mom shooed me off to bed again. i never had a nap. i just messed around in my room. bad things happen when i don't have naps.
i gave mom and dad a hard time the rest of the day. there was lots of grouchy all around. i've just been bouncing off the walls, couch, floor everything really. i can't keep still or play quietly. mom says i am totally going to bed early. we'll see about that.

you know what i did today? i helped mom take the trash and recycling out and we almost melted. it's that freaken hot outside. the rest of the day we just sat on the couch and watched shows or played toys. it's too hot to really even eat. it was 80degrees by the time i got up this morning. hot hot hot. too hot for fun right now

it's thursday and the week is almost over. today was ok. it's been soooo hot out, mom and i just stay inside trying to stay cool. this morning it was 80degrees at 8am and it just got hotter and hotter. i spent the morning watching gps kids. they do all kinds of great educational shows that i am really enjoying. while i watched shows i also played with my toys and practised flying. yes today i did many flight experiments. i built a landing strip out of pillows on the floor and jumped off the couch. i jumped and flapped my wings. i jumped with my arms behind my back. i did a lot of different jumps in lots of different ways. so far no luck cracking the mystery of flight. mom reminded me a few times that- you are not a bird and you are not buzz lightyear, but if you really want to fly keep trying. i know i know. i'm pretty sure the secret of flight involves bubble grass. i've insisted that mom get me some bubble grass but she claims to have no idea what i'm talking about.
mom fed me an early lunch because we had a noon meeting. we ate and got ready to go. today we went to check out the preschool. i was very excited because we were going to the kid's place. i got out of the car and all i could hear were kids playing. kids kids kids. mom and i went in to our meeting. the head lady seemed nice enough. she let me pick a book to color in. i went with the penguins of madagascon book. i love them! the lady did lots of talking and mom did lots of uhum, uhum. the lady gave us a tour. there was so much cool stuff to see. i wanted to stay and play but mom said- we couldn't. today we're just looking. eyeroll.
at the end of the tour i did get a quick play in. the place was pretty cool. mom is not sure when i will start school though or where. this place does a summer program which would fit our schedule better so mom will think about it.
after the meeting mom and i stopped at the dollar store. everything's a dollar! we walked around and picked up a few things. mom got me a little crate to keep my socks in. cool.
we bought our stuff and mom drove me to a kid's consignment sale. sounds kind of boring and it was. we walked around and looked at everyone's stuff. i saw a few things i wanted to buy but mom was all- no freaken way. according to her everything was way over priced and not worth the money. she did find a few pairs of shoes to buy me though. today i got my first pair of dr marten shoe docs. they're a little big right now but the way i grow, they will fit in no time. i also got a couple penguin stuffies. penguins always make me happy. on the way to the register we passed a woman from the fire department. she was running a kid's safety table. she gave me a bike helmet- for free. i also got a reflective wrist band, alright. mom paid for stuff and we left.
got home and mom hurried me off to naps. i wasn't really in the mood for naps. i just sat in bed and talked to myself for awhile. when i thought enough time had passed i shouted at mom- is naptime over? and she growled back- over? you never went to sleep. get in here. oh man. so i went and saw mom. she thrust a pen in my hand and told me to write my name. she had a stack of thank you cards and i had to sign each one. next time i'll just take the nap.
since i didn't take a nap, no pool and i have to go to bed early. ugh. i had an ok afternoon though. mom and i chatted a bit about private stuff. i'm ok, i just need some extra mom cuddles. all these changes this year, it's a lot to take in. dad is home now and we're going to share an ice cream.

today my groove was all off. i got roped into helping dad at the dmv. mom and i were going to sneak off to the movies instead we sat around watching people fail their driving tests and old people fail their vision test. it was soooo boring but as mom said- something important that dad needs to do. ok ok, i do get to spend a few hours with my dad so that's ok. after much waiting dad finally got his stuff done and he is now a licensed driver in america. to celebrate we went to the italian restaurant across the street from the Y. the lunch special today was buy 1 pizza get another for $1. the waitress bought 2 huge pizzas to our table. i didn't want any so i just nibbled on the bread basket. mom and dad could only manage a few slices, that's how big the pizzas were. we end up taking a whole one home.
dad drove us down to the university so he could go to work. he jumped out and said good bye. mom took over the car. she asked me if i wanted to go shopping- no, just home please. so home we went. it was nap time so mom and i had a rest. and that was pretty much my day. i didn't get up until 5 from naps. mom and i just puttered around the house. we cleaned up toys because mr hoover is supposed to come soon. and that's it. it's really too hot for much else. i'm afraid if i went outside i might melt.

today didn't really go to plan but it turned out ok in the end. mom and i had a few different things planned for this morning. originally we were supposed to meet with a lady to talk about a preschool program. mom looked at the map last night and realized the place we were supposed to meet was miles out of the way so she called and called this morning to change the meeting to a place closer to our house. the lady said she couldn't make it to a different location today, how about changing the day. so mom made a new appointment for thursday.
changing the preschool meeting left our morning free. what to do? what to do? mom said we could go explore some different charity shops, ok. so we got in the car. on the way out mom checked the mail. she only got one letter so she opened it. i guess the letter had bad news because mom instantly drove us back home. we went back inside. mom stomped around the house and said a bunch of bad words i'm not supposed to say. she made angry faces and looked at a few things on the internet and read the offending letter a couple times. finally she said we had to get back in the car and go to the insurance office. but why mommy? because the company is going to cancel our car insurance and we have to sort out this very huge problem. ok
so mom drove us down the street to the insurance office. it's not very far. we went inside. i stood quietly while mom talked to the lady behind the counter. the lady said- we have to cancel the policy you currently have but we've set you up with a different one. it only took a few minutes and the huge problem was sorted. phew.
since we had an hour or so before lunch mom drove us to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. this trip went a lot smoother. i was super good in the cart. mom and i got everything on the list including a few things for our hurricane survival stash.
got home just in time for lunch. i ate my peanut butter samiches and drank my chocolate milk. i got a big cup full of grapes when i was done. awesome. i like grapes. watched a couple educational shows and played with my toys until nap time.
had a pretty good nap. mom woke me up because i had a skype call from dana bunny and ronnie. cool. i had a quick chat with them. i wasn't really awake, something about whale watching. i don't know.
the rest of the day went really fast. my dad came home kind of early and that was awesome. i had only just finished my dinner when i heard him at the door. there's a big thunderstorm rolling through right now. i'm going to watch it with my mom and dad. i hope i see some forked lightning.

just another monday. mom said we could have a lazy day today because the weather is not so nice. there are still some passing showers. this morning we just hung out watching PBS. they run educational programs. in the morning they do kid shows. it was ok. i watched a show about dinosaurs and something called sesame street. sesame street was all about the letter K today.
mom asked me if i wanted to go out to the charity shops- ok, sure why not. so we went to 2 different shops. going to charity shop is not as easy as it was when we lived in exeter. you have to do a lot of driving and then there is only 1 shop before you have to drive to another one. today we checked out goodwill stores. mom found stuff to buy in both the ones we visited. i got some books and a game called chutes and ladders.
i didn't want to go to any more stores so mom took us home. mom made me a late lunch. i watched a bit of back to the future and then mom shooed me off for a nap.
i had a good rest at nap time. i'm up now, not sure what else is going down today.
