mom says that today is easter sunday. some dude named jesus died on a cross so we could all have brightly colored hardboiled eggs and chocolate bunnies. mom says that there is lots of fun stuff going on later, but first i have to sit and eat my bowl of breakfast mush.
ok, ok. mom was right there was lots of fun stuff today. where do i start? mom walked with me across the field in back of uncle matt's house. we went to visit at the house down there. mom said that auntie kathy's mom lives there. um ok, i'm pretty sure more than gram ronie lives there, that house was huge and full of people. i've never seen so many people in a house before, mom says auntie kathy has a large family, we can sneak in and no one will ever notice.
first on the list of fun was an egg hunt. i ran around the yard carrying a plastic bag looking for toy eggs. there were a lot of eggs and a lot of other kids looking for them too. i'm glad i had some help. mom and auntie kathy helped me find eggs. i would see an egg sitting in the grass, point at it and say- egg, and then walk off without picking it up. i let mom to pick up the eggs, i managed to get a few in my bag by the end of the hunt. i found out later that the eggs had money stuffed in them. oh neat.
after the egg hunt it was snack time. mom let me try a few things i had never had before. i tried brie bites and loved them. i also ate a broc and cheese mini quiche, very tasty. i played with some toys i found under a table. since all the other kids were busy i had them all to myself.
mom and i went back outside for something called the egg throw. it's a thing auntie kathy's family do every year. all the kids get the hardboiled eggs they colored and then spend a few hours rolling/throwing them down the hill in the front of the house. when the eggs crack you're supposed to peel the shell off and eat them. um ok. i wasn't too interested in throwing eggs. i wanted to run through the brambles and poison ivy. i found a beat up old go-kart in a pile of leaves. i had loads of fun on the go-kart. go-kart was probably the best thing ever. i screamed and screamed when mom picked me up and told me it was time to go eat dinner. i was so bad mom made me say good bye to mrs roney and took me back to uncle matt's house.
so another busy day for me. i was a pretty good boy and had loads of fun.
