art class, art class, ART CLASS!!! today i had art class. i love art class. mom and i went to class. we were a little early so we got a table in the cafe. i shook some sugar packets and pretended i was playing maracas. there were some flowers on our table so i poked them. i told mom all about how bees and butterflies like flowers. papillon, that's french for butterfly. mom says it's also a breed of annoying dog.
mom and i went off to our classroom. i sat on a red circle today. mom picked out a smock for me to wear, i always get the pink one, it looks like a rain coat. i was ready to paint right away but we had to do the imagination song. i was right up by teacher sara and kept trying to open her magic trunk. after we said the magic words i helped yank the cover off, inside were all kinds of things to dip in paint. i grabbed a sponge and showed it to mom, she said- look, it's a butterfly. papillon! so i sat at the table to painted some pictures, it was good fun. mom helped me stamp butterflies around the paper too.
after class i was grouchy with mom. we went home. mom said if i was going to be grouchy i better just go back to bed, so i did. i slept for awhile and when i got up mom made me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. that was about as exciting at my afternoon got. mom and i went out for an afternoon walk. i played with my toys and waited for dad to get home. he should be home soon, so i'm going to hang out with him.
