i learned a new word today- playgroup. PLAYGROUP! mom and i went out for a walk this morning. it's grey and not very nice, sprinkly tinkly out. blah. we can't go to the park because the ground is super wet as are all the rides since it's been raining forever. there is only so much shopping a person can do. i was prepared to roam around stores but mom was all- i really don't want to go shopping. so we went to this new place mom heard about- playgroup. mom said there would be a big room full of things to do and loads of kids. i was not to hit anyone and i had to share. we got to this playgroup place and opened the door. oh my god. i've never seen so many kids in one place before. there were millions of them running around and having fun. you wouldn't believe all the cool stuff to do. there was a corner for tiny kids to play with blocks and shaky chairs. there was a dressing up station where you could put on costumes. i saw a bookshelf piled high with stories just like the lieberry. there was a play house with a kitchen and stove. there was a table to do puzzles and a different table to play pretend farm with a barn and big plastic animals. and then there was a whole table dedicated to crafts. best of all there were things to ride on. oh yeah. i rode on everything. i rode the horse which is just like my horse at home. i rode the mini motorcycle and the mini trike. i also got to drive the big red car. i drove the big red car over to the pretend house and then went inside and made myself pantakes, just like big people do. i had so much fun. there was almost too much to do. to top things off there was even snacks. i got a cracker and some apple slices. i was pretty sad when mom said it was time to go. i admit i cried a little but i handled it well. when mom said it was home time i parked the car and got out and then walked with her over to collect buggy. i didn't have a screaming fit, i acted like a big boy, a sad big boy.
i helped mom buy random stuff at tescos and then we went home. we got back just in time. it started raining out again. i had a big bowl of yummy soup- leek and potato and watched toy story. now it's nap time, so i better go do that.
